Buyer
The buyer supports the procurement team by assisting in the sourcing, ordering, and tracking of materials, supplies, and services necessary for business operations. Responsibilities
Review purchase requisitions to ensure best value, the right quantity, and the right price is identified, prior to purchase
Identify and conduct due diligence on new sources of supplies and services to include completing supplier on-boarding process
Establish strong relationships with suppliers, and internal stakeholders, conduct supplier visits and host supplier meetings
Ensure purchase requisitions are structured correctly to ensure compliance with policy and enable accurate measure of supplier's delivery performance
Issue purchase orders, track status of orders and update SAP with latest delivery dates and or changes to lead time and minimum order quantities

Staging and removing coils at the slitters and for scrap feeding, identification and removal

Cutting test samples and conduct SPC activities as required
Assisting in maintaining the slitter and packing areas in a clean, orderly, safe and environmentally sound condition.
