What you will do Under general direction of the Major Project Sales Director, this sales professional will be responsible for the sale of enterprise-level, financially accretive building solutions to facility owners for large-scale new construction and renovation projects across key vertical markets including healthcare, education, and industrial clients. Promote the JCI value proposition to C-level owner representatives and consultants by providing comprehensive solution with well-defined ROI for the client's business and operational needs. Leverage JCI's integrated HVAC products, Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire, security, and digital technology offerings to deliver upon building owner's desired outcomes. Executes the sales process to aid in cultivating and managing long-term relationships while seeking out, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. Drive the sales process for JCI's most complex and large-scale opportunities to support clients through their journey to developing modern, efficient, and digitally connected facility infrastructure. Utilize your experience with complex construction projects and delivery methods to navigate the buying process through enhanced insight, collaboration, and strategic activities and partnerships. How you will do it Sells, with minimal supervision, the JCI offerings persuasively, persistently, and confidently to clients at the C-level while reaching optimal profit levels. Manages ongoing sales process, develops relationship, responds to, and anticipates client needs. Focus on a portfolio of large volume, highly accretive opportunities across the U.S. Builds partnering relationships to drive the decision-making process with the owner or owner representatives to align with JCI products and services. Actively listens, probes, and identifies preferred owner outcomes. Deeply understands the construction and development landscape and our client's business objectives such as patient experience, operational efficiency, and high-quality service. Be a subject matter expert on construction delivery methodology and value streams by field trade discipline. Seeks out, targets and initiates contact with building owners or program managers responsible for the decision making to generate demand for JCI's products and services through customized sales presentations and proposals. Partners with JCI Strategic Account Managers to develop business plan for assigned account by aligning JCI offerings with key accounts and their initiatives for multi-site and/or complex integrated digital offerings. Uses JCI Sales process within the project/program development process to position JCI as a key partner uniquely positioned to provide enhanced value. Demonstrates technical knowledge and a solution that delivers the client's project outcome. Qualifies and assesses potential clients and opportunities. Partners with internal sales professionals for specific offerings with specialized business units by geography and by project as needed. Addresses client's operational and environmental objectives, needs and requirements. Recommends solutions and links client objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage. Utilizes JCI technical and financial internal subject matter experts to provide insight and customized offerings and applications of JCI solutions for client's specific needs. Positively and credibly influences project stakeholders via competitive, high-quality proposals and analyses. Effectively writes, presents, and communicates proposals. Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively to develop market strategy and segmentation of prospective market opportunity to align resources and prioritize activities. Actively track, manage, and lead opportunities through strong planning, communication, and documentation progress. What we look for Required Construction industry knowledge required. A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level. and above Bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering, or related discipline required. Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills. Proficiency in construction delivery methodology and key building systems e.g. DBIA, AIA, BMS Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels. Ability to travel 50% (nation-wide; virtually located position) Preferred MBA preferred. Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,000-152,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Proficient with startup and commissioning of wastewater processes like precipitation, neutralization, clarification, microfiltration / filtration, and related infrastructure technologies such as dosing pumps, pumps/motors, VFDs, and potentially filter press technology** **This role is key to delivering and optimizing cutting-edge water treatment systems that keep our industrial clients running at peak performance.** **Core Responsibilities:** + Provide technical assistance and support to company engineers and equipment end users in the quick and efficient startup of newly installed wastewater equipment, training of site personnel in the operation and maintenance and repair of the equipment. + Work in industrial, municipal water, and wastewater facilities that may be under construction or already existing and may be required to travel internationally as well as domestically, with some extended stays. Work may exceed eight hours per day. + Be responsible for the commissioning of both single water treatment devices as well as entire industrial systems. + Maintain standard internal documents and reports, scripting details & updating tasks including managing and separating work done, and work to be done to maintain typical project schedules. + Use Microsoft Office suite daily and internal programs such as on-line travel assistants and electronic expense reporting programs (SAP, Concur ideal). + Develop a positive and professional working relationship with specialty and union site craft, learn and follow site rules and safety regulations, and use good judgment on behalf of Xylem. + Self-driven and ability to work onsite independently as needed. **Education:** **High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree preferred, although commensurate** **wastewater commissioning and troubleshooting** **experience will be considered.** **Qualification:** + Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, and hydraulics / pneumatic systems required + Working knowledge in the startup and commissioning of wastewater processes like precipitation, neutralization, clarification, microfiltration / filtration, and related infrastructure technologies such as dosing pumps, pumps/motors, VFDs, and potentially filter press technology + The ability to troubleshoot instrumentation & use PLC programs and ladder logic is required (Allen Bradley and Siemens) + Comfortable working with and around electrical systems and panels rated at 480V, 240V, and 120V + Must be able to travel extensively in US and Canada (home every other weekend) + Highly experienced with commissioning wastewater equipment, operating and maintaining wastewater treatment machinery & equipment and systems preferred + Must have the ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, installation and/or civil drawings, and the ability to discuss specifics, notes and changes with varied disciplines. + General computer skills are necessary in completing daily requirements + Available for extensive travel, often on short notice; (Both Domestic and International travel are likely to be required) + Organizational skills with good writing skills, able to craft documentation and perform presentations to suit the audience required + May be required to pass a 40-hour health and safety training for hazardous waste, at the company's expense. + Secondary language skills are desirable + Ability to work in elevations of around 15 thousand feet and varied weather conditions + Ability to obtain a Xylem company credit card required + Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record, and a valid passport (if required). + An ability to gain access to a nuclear power site by passing a related sociological screen may be necessary, plus any other testing requirements to access a customer site. **The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00. How you will do it: • Supports EqNA sales during project estimate by specifying, if given, service can be performed as an S/R or if a Service Mechanical project will need to be secured (determine based on the duration, size and complexity of the project, as well as the need for project management). • Provides custom quote for service items outside of Program, Commission, Adjust, and Train (PCAT) policy. • When the EqNA contract is secured and warranty expectations are confirmed by the Systems Application Engineer (SAE) verify that the branch has the necessary service technicians trained to work on the identified equipment and coordinate with Truck Based Service Manager (TBSM) to send technicians to be training as appropriate and/or necessary with the guidance and support of the BSM. • Will attend RTO meetings when requested on complex projects or projects sold with Planned Service Agreement (PSA) and identify any service/warranty scope concerns. • If the PSA is part of the contract, validate the details of the PSA to the SAE/Agent Project Owner to include project submittals. Provide documentation as needed. • Conducts weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and Branch Operations Manager (BOM) to coordinate and monitor all current and future service scopes for EqNA business and provide feedback and status to EqNA Operations Team. • Will work with customer to introduce Connected Service capabilities • Coordinate with the EqNA Customer, directly, for all scheduled work and schedule changes • Works with CRC and SAE to verify asset record created in NxGen and are assigned to the correct site for future SRs/quotes • Works with CRC and technicians for delivery related to FOB Destination and provide communication back to the SAE and Customer as required • Verifies that indicated warranty shows correctly in warranty navigator, if there are any discrepancies work with SAE and Warranty Admin team to address. • Monitors any Long-Term Storage (LTS) requirements and coordinate with SAE and customer. • Promotes Pronto Forms utilization by customers for prestart up checklist and by technicians for startup, unit inspections, and warranty work. • Ensures startup is completed or resolve any issues to complete startup work and provide customer with startup documentation. • Ensures startup dates are entered for the assets in NxGen and all equipment started by service is properly registered in Warranty Navigator. EqCM is required to provide warranty certification to the EqNA customer. • Works with CRCs to ensure all SRs are invoiced promptly upon scope completion. • Acts as a first point of contact for warranty requests for EqNA customers, working with CRC and Warranty Service Coordinator (WSC) to ensure technicians are dispatched promptly and claims are filed • Works to escalate and resolve issues preventing service warranty work being completed (includes parts and resources availability) and works with product technical support as necessary to accelerate cash collections • Facilitates technical support for EqNA customers as appreciate and necessary. What will you do Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete fire alarm projects with assigned customers. What we look for Required * 2+ years of Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. * Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. * Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. * Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. * Willing to travel out of town including overnight lodging. * Demonstrate a high level of customer service. * Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. * Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. * Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements. * Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes. * Moderate level of experience with computer software and technology. Preferred * NICET Level certification.
