RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, as Concrete Journeyman, you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require assisting other tradespeople, including laborers and carpenters. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Setting up the forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls. Building forms Pouring concrete raking to proper grade. Grading and prepping subgrade Spreading and smoothing concrete. Tooling expansion joints and edges. Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch. Adding small stones or other materials for decoration. Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work. An apprentice will assist to perform E&I installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of facilities or equipment under the supervision of a E&I Tech. In addition, an apprentice E&I tech will maintain power tools & hand tools and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities; install and/or remove other equipment and systems, such as wire terminations, cable installation, medium voltage equipment, overhead & underground electrical systems, steel structures, control panels and protection systems.
