The Role
We are looking for a passionate, aggressive, and skilled IP lawyer to serve as Lead Counsel, IP. Reporting to our CFO, this is a highly critical role and will own IP efforts on a global scale across Eight Sleep's suite of hardware, software, and other products. You will partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and heads of R&D and Operations to develop a proactive global IP strategy across our product portfolio. Conduct FTO, prior art, and clearance analyses to support product development and commercialization.
Oversee IP due diligence for strategic partnerships and other business transactions.

What We're Looking For

Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in‑house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)

* Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.
* Sophomore class standing completed by internship start date.
* Minimum GPA of 3.0.

* Completed a minimum of two coursework in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, health science, environmental compliance, or other EHS related coursework.

Summary
The Community Impact & Engagement Intern will support the promotion and success of education and scholarship initiatives through Ho-Chunk, Inc. The intern will help ensure Winnebago students and community members are aware of and can participate in these opportunities. This role includes event coordination, communication, research, and content development, with a focus on aligning educational engagement efforts with Ho-Chunk, Inc.'s broader business and community goals. The intern will be responsible for completing all tasks outlined in their summer project plans assigned by managers. Interns must participate in all mandatory internship programming, evaluation periods and professional development sessions.
