Duties, Responsibilities & Other The Utility Designer is responsible for creating precise and detailed construction drawings and designs using Microstation and other relevant software. This role emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and adherence to safe working practices while ensuring compliance with company policies and ISO standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and draft construction drawings using Microstation(or other required software), ensuring they meet the required standards for approval by federal, state, and local agencies. Complete all assigned tasks on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project scope. Compare field data to base plans to ensure accuracy and consistency. Size and specify design requirements, ensuring all design aspects meet project and regulatory standards.     A BrightHouse Designer is someone who is tasked with creating experiences through effective information hierarchy. They are communicators who use a (primarily) visual medium to execute an idea. There are many tools at their disposal, technology, vernacular cues, sensory input, graphics, and motion. They share many qualities with an art director in the sense that their work must start with a concept. And they manipulate media to create a feeling, deliver information, inform, and inspire. However, unlike art directors who are conceptually focused, designers are exceptionally focused on look and form. BrightHouse is looking for a Thinker and Designer who thinks strategically as well as creatively, knows how to lead clients, is organized and self-motivated, and has a fantastic eye for design. They're responsible for the exploration and conceptualization of design options on a number of visual solutions including logos, identities, looks/feels for film, layouts, collateral, illustrations, packaging, physical environments, presentations, etc. They work as a member of a larger team and must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively to those around them, often in tight timeframes.
