S.A. Comunale is seeking a Quality ControlTechnician for out Fabricaton Shop.
Assists in maintaining the overall quality the of all operations of the Fabrication Shop under the supervision of the Quality and Fabrication Supervisor. Inclusive of maintaining high safety standards and practice, high quality product, high service standards to our project sites and field personnel, prompt and on-time delivery of fabrication material, equipment, and tools from our Shop, pick up of job sites, organization of shop and stock item areas, inventory control and follow through of material returns to vendors and suppliers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SAFETY
Assist in assuring the overall safety and shop organization
Assist enforcing ZAP - Zero Accident Program.
Assist in enforcing overall cleanliness and organization.
QUALITY CONTROL
Assist in monitoring the overall quality
Assist in ensuring employees are following defined processes SOP's.
Review of sketches and inspection/approval of ada-cap and riser nipples prior to bundling/crating.
Inspection of both automated and hand welds.
Inspect and measure both rolled and cut grooves ensuring they are within the tolerance.
Inspect and gage threads.
Review and inspect inbound pipe loads for paint quality and lenghts per the PO.
Inspect outbound trucks for safety and quality ensuring all associated materials and tools are present.
Audit crated contents for jobs ensuring all material pulled and consolidated is correct and present.
Inspect pipe bundles ensuring they are symmetrical, and no rust is present on the pipe, grooves, or outlets.
Perform inbound inspections on assigned materials and subcontracted hanger assemblies.
Inspect riser assemblies ensuring they are tagged, capped, and wrapped for shipping.
Assist in further developing of quality processes in all operations of the fabrication shop.
Identify non-conformances and generate QC reports.
Photo document pipe and materials found to be non-conforming.
Assist in developing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues inside the manufacturing process.
WASTE
Responsible for the reduction of wasted materials
Work with team to reduce scrap.
Work with team to utilize extra scrap.
Work to reduce stored or returned pipe, riser nipples, and hangers.
PRODUCTION
Responsible for the quality of materials both received and shipping from the fabrication shop
Assist in data collection for downtime analysis.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Assist in team building skills and training.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing is a plus.
2-5 years of quality assurance/quality control experience is a plus.
2-5 years of blueprint reading is a plus.
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, and particularly Excel) is a plus.

Collaborates with customers and stakeholders from QC and DS Manufacturing (DSM) to support tech transfers of new customer projects as they relate to QC Sample Plans and DS/DP Specifications
Participates in updates of controlled GMP documents related to QC Sample Plans and QC Specifications
Participates in writing and review of change controls of QC Sample Plans for both internal and external changes together with relevant stakeholders, including communication with customers as applicable

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Formulates Powder media formulas per manufacturing protocols utilizing various weighing equipment such as scales and balance.
Uses Mettler-Toledo IND780 terminal system in conjunction with the SAP ERP system to ensure correct raw materials assigned in the batch record are weighed at the specified quantity.
Suggest changes in departmental procedures and processes (SOPs) as needed.
Performs and documents line clearance at the start of each formulation event.
Maintains all required logs and associated documentation.
Assures that all chemicals are stored and labeled properly.
Performs process scale checks on all required equipment including scales and balances.
Keeps work area, utensils, tanks, mills, and equipment clean and organized.
Ensures that supplies needed such as weigh boats, gloves, lab coats, etc. are well stocked in their designated areas. Orders supplies or informs Lead/Supervisor if supplies need to be ordered.
Follows all safety procedures and works in a safe manner including wearing all required personal protective equipment.
Understands and follows procedures to ensure that chemicals are handled properly.
Good understanding of metric system and its conversions.
Follows and actively participates in sustaining the 6S program in the area.
Other duties as requested by Lead or Supervisor.
Required Skills/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background in medical devices, diagnostics, food/vitamin processing, or pharmaceuticals.
1-2 years of hands on experience
General education about chemicals and proper handling (college level science preferred).
Working knowledge of metric system.
Good understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

The Role

The Fuel Field Technician will provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, phase separation correction, tank cleaning and other related services for our fuel customers.
