    Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a **QC Inspector near Cincinnati, OH.** **Contract - to - Hire** **Shift:** 7pm-7:30am 2-2-3 rotating schedule **Compensation:** $24/hr DOE The QC Operations Inspector position reports directly to the QA & Laboratory Manager. This position will serve as a technical and quality resource for the operations team in daily Quality Control document review, in-process testing, training, and investigations. The inspector conducts in-process chemical and physical laboratory analyses according to compendia or defined methodology to make qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for quality control products, raw materials, or processes, calibrations, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences. Records observations, measurements, and records results following strict Good Manufacturing Practices for Food, Cosmetic or Pharmaceutical purposes. **POSITION REQUIREMENTS** **Education, Credentials, Licenses:** Two or more years of experience and/or education with a quality, science or manufacturing discipline. **Kind & Length of Experience:** + Two or more years of progressive experience in a physical testing laboratory, instrumental laboratory, or general wet chemistry laboratory with similar test methods. + Two or more years working in a manufacturing environment. + Effective oral and written communication skills. + Practical problem-solving skills. + Experience training others on laboratory skills, instrumentation, and work processes. + Auditing experience as an auditor or auditee, plus + Strong customer service skills **PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS** + Process mapping, attention to detail, and organization skills. + Serves as a double check or inspector to operations to confirm the quality of the product. Thus, able to identify discrepancies. + Performs in process and finished product testing as defined without issues. + Support QA & Laboratory Services Manager by fostering a high performance, positive, and cooperative team environment. + Assists their manager and TQM on quality improvements, planning, and investment activities. + Supports and executes quality programs/procedures to meet regulations. + Ensure that all products released meets current product specification & regulatory requirements within a timely manner. + Supports as needed any out of specification or calibration, complaints, or aberrant data. Provides technical expertise to investigations by root cause analysis. + Responsible for initiating any corrective or preventative actions to prevent or minimize such deviations. + Provide training on behalf of Quality to operations + Assist in quality audits (regulatory, customer, certifications) as requested by Corporate Quality. + Ensures 100% compliance with the governmental and local regulations. + In your absence you are to ensure that the tasks assigned to you are adequately covered by trained personnel. You are responsible for communicating and working with your manager to ensure your workload is covered when you are out. + Monitoring/measurement/calibration of assigned lab equipment. + Support efforts to implement and maintain quality certifications including ISO 9001, ISO-IEC 17025, SQF, etc + Other duties as assigned. ** Working Conditions/Physical Demands Required:** + Position requires standing on feet for portions of day, and some climbing of stairs. + Should be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to visually discern color. Ability to distinguish odor and fragrance types. Full dexterity with hands and arms. + Ability to wear required personal protective equipment which may include nitrile gloves, face shields, safety glasses, steel toe work shoes, aprons, head gear, or lab coat.
