This Mapping Vehicle Test Operator hands-on role operates a dedicated mapping vehicle to accurately and efficiently complete mapping tickets across the Greater Austin area. Team members work four 10-hour shifts each week, with the vehicle serving as the primary workstation. The position requires strict adherence to road safety protocols, disciplined execution of test plans, and thorough reporting. Vehicles are picked up from the Tempe HQ; if issues arise, operators coordinate with the service team.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate test vehicles across diverse environments, road types, and weather conditions while adhering to all local traffic laws and safety protocols.
Follow detailed instructions to prepare vehicles and components for testing; collaborate with fellow operators and engineers to execute test plans.
Maintain strong focus on test objectives and communicate effectively to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate test execution.
Perform a range of driving tasks, including route-based driving, short engineering test drives, and transport/delivery driving.
Produce accurate, detailed, and comprehensive test reports and ticket updates.
Support test activities using engineering principles, analysis tools, and established practices to meet performance targets and standards.
Travel to test sites, customer locations, public roads, and environments ranging from standard conditions to extreme or challenging terrain.
Coordinate logistical aspects of testing, including location readiness, tool availability, and resource planning.
Conduct quality assurance evaluations, assessing functionality, performance, drivability, and overall user experience.
Drive safely in daylight, darkness, and adverse weather/road conditions; complete all assigned tests and tasks within designated timeframes.

Required Qualifications
**MVR and NDA:** Clean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to sign/adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
1-2 years of experience in the technology industry or demonstrated strong interest in the field.
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record; comfortable driving for extended periods (four 10-hour shifts).
Proficiency with ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., JIRA) for feedback collection, scheduling fixes, and tracking progress.
Strong organizational and process-oriented skills; ability to follow structured schedules and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Specific Skills
The Vehicle Maintenance Instructor's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Demonstrated experience in instructing ACV or comparable combat vehicle operations.
Familiarity with Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and technical references at the operator level.
Strong instructional, communication, and evaluation skills.
Required Education/Certifications
Must be current USMC Swim Qualification Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such.
Must have a current SVET Qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET.
Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred graduates of Instructor Development Course (IDC) and or Curriculum Developers Course (CDC). Prior Formal Learning Center experience is a plus.

Transportation/Routing Specialists are responsible for inventory fidelity and back-end warehouse support. Transportation Specialists ensure that POs are in their proper inventory states, leading to streamlined scheduling and delivery. Transportation Specialists are also responsible for reconciling exceptions, reverse logistics, and driver paperwork.

What You'll Do
* Use Wayfair inventory systems and tools to ensure "perfect" orders run smoothly from receipt at the terminal to dispatching for delivery
* Identify exceptions such as damage, short shipments, mis shipments, overweight/oversized cartons, etc., and reconcile these issues, engaging Customer Service and other partner teams as needed
* Inventory freight returning after a missed or refused delivery, escalating reports of missing freight to terminal leadership
* Set up schedules for outgoing freight (returns, liquidation, donation, disposal) and maintain relationships with reverse logistics carriers
* Print any necessary paperwork for delivery teams, correcting any errors
* Write and distribute an "end of shift" report to all terminal staff and any necessary partner teams
* Provide feedback on processes and tools
* Support Customer Service and other partner teams in efforts to maintain high customer satisfaction
What You'll Need
* 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
* Ability to lift 75+ lbs to assist the warehouse team as needed
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-centric approach
* Ability to multitask and navigate through various systems and tools
* Well organized and detail oriented
* Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new technologies
* Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving solutions
* Experienced in Logistics or Transportation
* BA/BS preferred
