Responsibilities & Requirements
Infusion Scheduling
The scheduler is responsible for the coordination of patient care between the physician office, the patient and various hospital departments. The scheduler must provide excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills. The scheduler must also have excellent computer skills, with the ability to multi-task between various hospital system applications. The scheduler must also be very detail oriented. The scheduler is also expected to maintain a high level of accuracy in addition to meeting department productivity requirements.

Requirements:
High School Completion equivalent
High School Expected date letter in lieu of Diploma
High School Graduate
Basic Medical Terminology
Ability to work in a fast pace medical office environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to Multi-task across multiple hospital platforms and applications
Ability to follow directions, accept orders and perform repetitive task
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
A.D. in Business or health related field preferred.
Infusion scheduling for Oncology or Oncology coding and billing experience preferred.
Office assitant or clerical experience preferred.
At least 1 year of Epic/EMR experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Under supervision of the Practice Manager, is typically the first point of contact (phone and in-person) for the office. Notifies office staff when patient is ready to be seen. Provides a wide variety of administrative support duties.
The Front Office Specialist is responsible for:
Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
Answers telephone calls, screens calls, arranges appointments, and referrals.
Obtains information, answers questions, and notifies physician or assistant of patient's arrival.
Prepares new records, organizes files, and maintains records.
Types correspondence, reports, e-memos, forms.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the physician(s) or practice office manager.
Job Requirements:
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies.
Learns quickly from oral and written instructions.
Ability to operate a computer.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of CPT & ICD-9 coding.
Understand the ethics of confidentially.
Good organization skills
Tact and diplomacy
Preferred Qualifications

Epic training/experience

This position is typically the first point of contact (phone and in-person) for the office. This position is responsible for answering, handling and screening incoming telephone calls; greeting and registering patients, filing and preparing charts. In addition, this position is responsible for check-out functions, including review of encounter form data, collection of co-payments, scheduling follow-up appointments; day-end reconciliation duties.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality/discretion.
Must be patient, courteous, and tactful.
Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments and the public.
Ability to follow direction, accept orders and perform repetitive tasks.
Computer literate in use of word processing and email
Preferred Qualifications

Must have valid Ohio driver's license
Must have and maintain a clean driving record
