This duty includes knowing where the residents are, insuring they are acting safely and following rules/guidelines. BHT are also responsible for completion of documentation of the BHT Log, Service Activity Log, transportation/ vehicle log, Incident Reports, Urinalysis Drug Screens and other basic documentation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONS: BHT's are expected to be alert and attentive throughout the shift. She is expected to work nights and weekends and holidays, based on shift availability and preference. BHT must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. BHT is exposed to high stress situations and must interact well with staff and residents. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe and document changes, unusual events, violations of rules/guidelines, and other notable incidents, related to a resident's behavior occurring during her shift. Be available to residents if they need additional support Transport residents to and from support meetings and events (i.e. AA/NA, NAMI). Provide residents access to their controlled medications and document residents' self-administration of medications. Process resident belongings at time of admission and when returning from pass. Screen and document visitors to Serenity Spring according to confidentiality guidelines. Participate in all scheduled Serenity Spring employee meetings and trainings. Perform urinalysis drug screens and alcohol swabs per resident's return from pass or suspicion of use. Monitor the quality of household chores completed by residents. Review BHT Log and coordinate services with other Serenity Spring staff at shift change. Answer telephone, and perform light office duties when assigned. Respond to incidents at the at the recovery home and ensure appropriate reports are completed. Responsible to help monitor residents for potential warning signs concerning recurrence of symptoms and refer them for more support. Responsible to check-in with residents on a daily basis. Be available to residents if they need additional support. Responsible to examine the physical property and spend enough time at the home to ensure that all residents are accounted for, residents do not need additional support, and the house is free from substance use. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and the ability to be insured by agency provider.
