RNs implement facility policies, procedures, and coordinates nursing activities with other services provided by members of the interdisciplinary health care team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Document all nursing care provided and the client's condition/status, including but not limited to: initial nursing screening, nurse progress notes, client health questionnaire, suicide risk screening, nutritional risk screening, TB screenings, and other documentation in HCBTS's EMR system (KIPU) in a timely manner
Observe, screen/assess, and document client vital signs and withdrawal management screenings (CIWA/COWS) within your scope of practice
Document, monitor, secure, and account for all client medications in the healthcare office
Document and observe each client's self administration of medications
Monitor clients reactions and respond to potential adverse events or reactions
Monitor, document, and complete client observation rounds
Closely monitor, identify, and report clients who may be experiencing thoughts of self harm, harm to others and/or suicidal ideations/behaviors
Perform nursing tasks in accordance with the physician's instructions/protocols
Provide education and instructions to clients as applicable
Collaborate with the clinical team to promote, facilitate, and achieve desired treatment outcomes for clients
Communicate appropriately with full team (supervisor, coworkers, physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers)
Comply with all state and company policies and guidelines
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to care for clients with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and physical health problems or conditions
1 year of experience working in a detox setting (preferred)
Familiarity with basic detox protocols and procedures
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong de-escalation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to serving clients struggling with chemical dependency
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Current Adult CPR/First Aid Certification
Current LPN or RN License in the state of OH
