Complete housekeeping duties regularly, following standard operating procedures and operational needs including but not limited to: sweeping, squeegeeing floors, cleaning process equipment, etc. Report waste and scrap materials in an accurate and timely manner. Verify that all materials match the specifications outlined in work orders. Labeling containers to meet customer specifications and federal regulations. Team member will work with other technicians, tool room personnel, engineers, department managers, and operators during the analysis and implementation phases of various projects. Key Responsibilities Draft and design shafts, jigs, and equipment components. Create and update designs using 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks). Position Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Assurance Operator 1 is responsible for testing and certifying the quality of raw materials and finished products through product sampling and batch testing support. Key duties include loading and unloading asphalt trucks and rail cars, calculating load gallons, operating forklifts, and performing basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on loading/unloading equipment. The Quality Technician is responsible for communicating with respective departments, vendors and individual employees to troubleshoot quality and process related issues. Additionally, the Quality Technician will be responsible for assisting and finding solutions to assigned internal and external complaints and corrective actions, and for assistance with identifying material and process non-conformances. The Quality Technician will also assist with continuous improvement projects that mitigate risk and ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in a safe and courteous manner. Perform product inspections. Perform calibration activities. Assist with resolving material and process non-conformities. Assist with continuous improvement activities. Promote and encourage a quality mindset in other employees. Attend Quality team meetings as scheduled. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. Qualifications SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to keep accurate records. Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with quality control and data analysis. Ability to follow documented procedures and standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiar with measurement equipment and its functionality.

Monitor welder qualification tests.Monitor and record welding parameters to insure compliance to approved WPS.Be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications.Perform Dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies. Use Total Station as needed.Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through shop.Conduct audits of Quality Management SystemPerform in a manner that will assure quality work flowing through the shop.Work with welders and leadmen to maintain quality.Be available, by use of a radio, etc. to perform needed checks.Maintain a log of work done, and complete required reports.Interpret the Specifications and applicable Codes.Ability to be flexible to work either early or late within assigned shift as needed.Coordinate inspection of QC hold points between production and DOT Inspectors.Use and encourage safe working habits.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Effectively communicate with the crews, supervisors, and Quality Manager the results of your work, evaluate problems, proposed acceptable corrections, solutions, and schedules.Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, use measurement tools and techniques to verify geometric tolerances of fabricated parts and assemblies.
