We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Driver to join our team in the door manufacturing and distribution industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering doors and related products to customer sites and assisting with general warehouse duties, including loading/unloading, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized facility. • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or delivery driver role, preferably in the door or building materials industry. • Proven ability to safely operate delivery trucks (non-CDL or CDL depending on vehicle size). • Experience loading and handling large, heavy, or fragile products (e.g., doors, frames, or hardware). • Previous use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. • Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet delivery schedules, and provide excellent customer service. Education/Qualification • Highschool Diploma/GED preferred. • Valid driver's license (CDL may be required for larger vehicles). • Clean driving record with knowledge of safe driving practices. Required Skills • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, power tools, RF scanners, etc.). • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. • Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Basic computer skills for inventory management. Work Conditions • Ability to work in outside hot and cold weather conditions. • Majority of work is performed in an indoors industrial environment with concrete flooring. Infrequent outdoor exposure. • The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is necessary to ensure worker safety. Must be able to use the following PPE: steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety gloves, and others as required. Depending on location, protective sleeves may be required. • The workspace includes both forklift and pedestrian traffic, necessitating heightened awareness and adherence to safety protocols. • Exposure to dust and depending on assignment may be exposed to paint fumes. • Occasional work at high heights using ladders or scissor lifts. Job Description Job Summary: The Sales Center Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver ensures the smooth handling and delivery of our products. This position involves receiving and organizing products, loading and unloading trucks, and making deliveries to customers or job sites as needed. While the primary focus is on warehouse duties, the role also includes occasional driving responsibilities. Major Responsibilities/Activities: Order Processing and Fulfillment: Accurately pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup. Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipping or pickup. Organize and prioritize shipments for various carriers and job sites, staging orders for easy loading and verification. Read and process customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions. Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed, as certified. Shipping and Receiving: Assist in shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders. Load trucks safely and ensure products arrive in good condition. Prepare parcels for mailing. Inventory Management: Move inventory to designated warehouse spaces and maintain an organized environment. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences. Mark materials with identifying information. Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy. Complete requisition forms to order supplies. Warehouse Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work area, following established safety procedures. Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers. Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed. Sweep, dust, and mop the warehouse. Wear proper safety equipment. Driving and Delivery: Operate a delivery truck to safely transport non-hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with speed limits and traffic laws. Perform pre-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues. Check products for damage after loading and ensure goods are properly secured for transportation. Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations, maintaining a positive company image. Adhere to company policies and procedures while handling financial transactions to ensure accurate and secure money collection. Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with supervisors, sales staff, coworkers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups. Follow company escalation procedures for reporting and resolving issues, damages, or complaints efficiently. Record any product damage during transit or unloading, including detailed descriptions and photos if necessary. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma Must be capable of obtaining certification to operate power equipment. Must have a valid DOT physical card and a valid Class C driver's license. Must have a thorough grasp on the DOT rules and regulations regarding driving hours of service. No DUI or License suspensions in the last 5 years. Essential Mental/Physical Functions: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Capable of driving for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat to perform loading/unloading assignment(s).
