A Fort Worth, TX family is seeking a Technology and Facility Controls Engineer to join the
engineering team at their private property. We are focused on bringing in a highly technical
individual who is eager to learn, has excellent communication skills, and superior problemsolving skills. This is a unique position and with excellent on the job training.
The Technology and Facility Controls Engineer will enjoy working on a variety of interesting
projects a majority of the time, including:
Programming home automation systems - state of the art automation system for a 20,000 square foot house which controls lights, security, showers, pool, fountains, shades, and anything else you can imagine
Managing and standardizing over 50 iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, and other tablets
Setting up laptops, PC's and other computing equipment
Testing and programming home audio systems
Installing dashboard cams in a fleet of 10 cars
Maintaining over 20 Access Points for a large Wi-Fi network spanning 7 acres
Setting up and testing surveillance equipment (e.g. IP cameras, thermal cameras, security beams)
On-site working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm and occasional after-hours / weekend work as needed
Traveling to other properties across the country for IT set-up and maintenance
The successful candidate will also help support the family and engineering team with a variety of
complex technical issues facing the property, including: networking design and maintenance,
scripting, SAN management, backup systems management, MS Exchange administration,
disaster recovery systems, home/office automation systems, antivirus/security management,
videoconferencing support, media production support, and other complex system administration
tasks. A general knowledge of Windows and iOS would be helpful.
Additionally, the successful candidate will:
Be offered up to 20% over current compensation or any current offers AND be paid a $25,000 signing bonus for a three-year commitment.
Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other Engineering or related field.
Will have demonstrated a strong interest and background in technology.
Be able to commit to the position for at least two years.
Will have one to five years of work experience after college.

What role you will play in our team
* As an Automation Technician on our team you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of instrumentation and automation systems for ExxonMobil Oil and Gas operations.
* Automation Technicians will have on call responsibilities, work with multiple work teams in the support of oil and gas operations.
What will you do
* Install, commission and maintain controls, electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with piping and Instrument Diagrams
* Test and repair electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production and control equipment to ensure adherence to Control Narratives and Cause & Effects
* Proficient in controller logics, networking and HMI design
* Evaluate electrical systems and instrumentation to establish plans for repair, perform preventative maintenance and record changes to facility designs
* Capable of interfacing with, troubleshooting and repairing various control and networking devices
* Works daily with Operations, Engineering and various Organizational groups to meet safety, environmental and production goals

* Experience with Rosemount Transmitter and Hart protocol a plus, and knowledge of control valves and piositioners
* Knowledge of PID control loops
* Able to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
