Provide technical expertise and assistance on all aspects of the site's EHS efforts.
Actively supporting EHS Cultural Excellence through personal responsibility for safety, health, and environment, promoting a culture to address incidents, near-misses and potential hazards.
Ensuring compliance to all applicable standards and regulations, and conformance to all 3M environmental, health and safety expectations.
Investigating workplace incidents and completing root cause analyses to determine appropriate corrective actions and conducting assessments of high hazard processes in order to reduce risk.
Conduct personal and area air and noise sampling, interpret results, complete reports and provide follow up for corrective actions.
Complete PPE assessments, ventilation assessments, exposure assessments and ergonomic reviews.
Leads the site industrial hygiene program, developing standard work to continuously improve the broad area of Industrial Hygiene.
Developing and implementing environmental programs/practices aimed to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance within the site.
Interpreting, implementing, coordinating, and maintaining the regulatory compliance rhythm to assure completion of reporting and recording for applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental Permits, regulations, and programs.
Analyze data, self-assessments, reports, and trends to identify opportunities to improve EHS and Regulatory performance and assist in developing strategies for future improvements.
Involvement in various site wide EHS initiatives and projects designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the site's EHS programs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) years of EHS experience at a private, public, government or military environment including internship experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience with hazard and risk assessments and experience in a manufacturing environment
Five (5) or more years of experience working in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment
Master's degree or higher in a science, engineering, or EHS discipline from an accredited institution
Professional certifications(s) such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or willingness to obtain
Experience implementing comprehensive EHS management systems
Experience with state and federal regulations including (e.g, OSHA, EPA, etc)
Self-directed, detail oriented, good interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organizational skills

This position is key to ensuring a consistent, data-driven, and scalable safety framework that supports risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, ESG initiatives, and overall operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Enterprise Safety Program Expansion
* Extend core elements of Prologis' safety program to non-development business lines.
* Tailor policies and procedures to fit diverse risk profiles of business units.
Contractual Safety Requirements
* Develop business-specific safety contract exhibits using the "Contractor EH&S Obligations" framework.
Platform Leadership
* Expand and implement Safety Mojo for contractor and employee usage (incident reporting, hours tracking, safety observations).
* Standardize and enforce Avetta compliance thresholds and escalation workflows.
Training and Support
* Conduct safety training sessions and provide guidance for internal teams and contractor partners.
* Improve usage tracking and competency within safety platforms.
Oversight and Inspection
* Define and implement a risk-based policy for utilizing third-party safety professionals.
* Ensure quality and consistency in inspections across high-risk and complex projects.
Data-Driven Safety Management
* Analyze incident data to identify root causes and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor safety trends and proactively drive improvements.
* Develop strategies to accurately report safety results to stakeholders (i.e. Sustainability).
Communications and Culture
* Increase visibility of safety best practices through frequent and targeted communications.
* Actively participate in business enterprise meetings and training activities.

Building blocks for success
Required:
* 5+ years of experience in safety program leadership across multiple operational domains (e.g., construction, energy, facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure) in a global environment.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks and contractor safety management.
* Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives and platform implementations.
* Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Hiring Salary Range of: $133,600 - $167,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Providing environment, health and safety leadership and direction for the Knoxville location, in consultation with leadership teams.
Supporting and communicating with 3M Knoxville management team, who have accountability for site EHS performance, and engaging the site as a member of the Plant Operations Committee.
Managing to site performance targets, coach and lead salaried and hourly employees.
Ensuring operational Environmental, Health and Safety performance through comprehensive delineation of health and safety requirements, active and visible leadership, and effective coaching to assure employee engagement.
Setting short and long-term strategic direction, site EHS priorities, and assigning resources. maintaining full responsibility for results of functional discipline including worker safety, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
Ensuring compliance to all applicable standards and regulations, and conformance to all 3M environmental, health and safety expectations.
Actively supporting EHS Cultural Excellence through personal responsibility for safety, health, and environment, promoting an improvement culture to address incidents, near-misses and potential hazards.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years' leadership experience within a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree or higher in a science, engineering, or environmental health and safety (EHS) discipline from an accredited institution.
Ten (10) or more years of experience working in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) role in a manufacturing environment.
Five (5) combined years' experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role.
Experience leading Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and procedures within a private, public, government or military environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive improvement in a complex/technical manufacturing environment.
Self-directed, detail oriented, good interpersonal, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Analytical, strategic planning, program development and deployment skills including leading cross-functional teams.
Certification(s) such as: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or other related EHS certifications
Work Location: Knoxville, IA
Travel: May include up to 15% Domestic

About the role
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Health, Safety & Environmental Director, the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager is responsible for managing the region and providing direction on how to run the Health, Safety & Environmental Program, as well as troubleshooting, mitigating issues that come up, managing day-to-day workflow, and monitoring implementation of the Company Health, Safety & Environmental mandate. The incumbent supports operations in the day-to-day functions of the HSE Manager and completes monthly and annual reports on safety performance and trends. The HSE Manager will bring a depth of knowledge about the local regulations and have experience working with multiple regulatory bodies.
As a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager at Moltz you will:
* Advise Project Management of the acceptable level of jobsite safety and regulatory compliance.
* Take responsibility for own health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of direct reports, the general public, and visitors to the site(s).
* Support Operational Vice President and HSE Leadership to ensure the elements of the HSE Plan are communicated to Divisional Managers, Project Managers, and other Operational personnel.
* Provide an active and visible leadership role in all HSE initiatives.
* Support Project Managers and project teams to facilitate and complete Group Risk Assessments.
* Assist Estimators to promote early HSE plans within the Project Hazard Assessment (PHA).
* Support communication of HSE commitments and expectations to client(s).
* Compile and summarize HSE statistical data, identify undesirable trends and recommend corrective action.
* Recommend HSE initiatives to Senior Operations Project Management.
* Monitor and evaluate the HSE Program.
* Assess site-specific requirements and/or review of Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSP).
* Assess local regulations, client requirements, emergency protocols, safe work plans and procedures, and codes of practice for the PSSP.
* Contribute expertise to investigations of all incidents, when applicable.
* Support Human Resources with recruitment and evaluation of project HSE personnel.
* Identify the resources required to implement the HSE Program.
* Recognize HSE performance.
* Report on the effectiveness of HSE to Senior Operations and the HSE General Manager / Director.
* Review incidents as feedback to the HSE Program for continuous improvement.
* Hold direct reports accountable for HSE performance.
Qualifications/Experience
* High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school.
* Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation, is an asset.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in safety or a related field.
* Understanding how Health & Safety Program systems work.
* Knowledge of volume of work, size of team, and size of organization standards.
* Strong understanding of state regulations.
* Deep knowledge of OSHA processes.
* MSHA experience/training is preferred
* Strong grasp of safety terminology.
* Ability to prepare and facilitate meetings and presentations.
* Ability to communicate effectively to people of varying roles and levels of understanding.
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and online reporting software.
* Mobility throughout the State of Colorado
