General Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Customer Service
Project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store.
Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location.
Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
Register Operations
Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
Responsible for balancing of register drawer.
Adhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
Participate in store and Cashier meetings.
Front End Appearance and Upkeep
Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times. Face and dust front end.
Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change.
Ensure fresh ads are stocked in shopping carts at all times.
Ensure forms and supplies are stocked at all times.
Assist with decorating the front end according to the Store Support Center program.
Call for cart pickups when necessary.
Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Startup
You will perform Pre / Post trip safety check on the vehicle following DOT regulations.
Locate and Attach Trailer
Locate Yard Tractor* in the yard, climb into the vehicle (using a handle 60" from ground level and (2) vertical steps 12" to 20" up to the cab floor at 36") and bring (18" to 24" reach to controls) it to the loading dock area.)
Communicate with the Loader in person or by two-way radio to identify the proper trailer.
Ensure that the trailer doors are open and secure.
Attach the trailer to the Yard Tractor, manually crank the landing gear up (reach 18" /42" above ground /50 lb. push to turn up) and connect the brake lines.
Transport Trailers To and From Loading Dock
Guide the Yard Tractor and Trailer to the appropriate loading dock or yard storage location.
Secure Trailer / Remove Tractor
Secure the trailer by manually cranking the landing gear to the ground (reach 18" /42" above ground /40 lb. push to turn down) and removing the 5th wheel pin (32" reach/ 45" above ground level/ 50lb. static pull to release).
Release the brake lines, ensure the trailer is secured and guide the Yard Tractor away from the trailer.
Maintenance and Clean-up
Red tag" the trailer or tractor for maintenance.
Check all fluids by manually pulling open the hood of the truck (35lb.static force) and release bungee latches.
Conduct trailer inspections to identify holes, leaks, or any other damage or wear.
Guide the Yard Tractor or Tractor to fuel island for fueling and appropriate daily service.
Clean out cab of tractor and place all trash in proper receptacle.

Position Responsibilities
Provide leadership, inspiration, and subject matter expertise in Conagra Performance System (CPS) best practices.
As part of the Macon Leadership Team, you will be a hands-on driver of improvement in the plant by focusing all teams (i.e. Project Engineers, Contractors, Technicians, Peers, and Other CPS Pillars leads) to guide actions to support CPS.
Be an expert in breaking down top losses and using data to drive decisions for how to overcome
Work with the Plant Manager to calibrate what plant priorities are and how they are implemented
Assess the level of the facility regarding the CPS journey and merge CPS best practices where the plant is ready to adopt them.
Lead the Reliability Improvement Plans (RIP); establish action plans; and follow-up meetings
Lead the development of standard work by partnering with Department Managers to assure Standard Work is accurate, being used and verified. Create methodology to assure most current best practices are documented and trained to.
Work with the Operations teams to create and move towards an Autonomous Maintenance work culture and run to centerline.
Support plant pillar and platform Leads (5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement)
Engage all associates through hands-on mentoring and audits to improve processes
Coach teams in giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactions
Promote important CPS concepts everyday through coaching and auditing across the organization.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management, Organizational Development, Engineering or other related fields
5+ years plant-based operations experience in a manufacturing environment
5+ years experience in TPM based continuous improvements, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and related process improvement systems.
5+ year's experience in facilitating teams; oversee root-cause analysis, data collection, and using TPM/ CPS concepts such as "Why, Why/ How How", Phenomena Thinking.
Working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities.
Interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

A Year in the Life of a Global Manufacturing Trainee

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for Graduate Assistantships for the Speech Language Therapy (SLP) program on the Mesa, Arizona Campus. Under close supervision of a faculty member, Graduate Assistants assist faculty with various professional and technical duties associated generally with the subjects or programs in which the Assistant is doing graduate work.
The responsibilities of a Graduate Assistant are to be determined by normal departmental procedures. Responsibilities, under the close supervision of a faculty member, typically may include:
Assisting the faculty member in the instruction of students by conducting small discussion or recitation groups related to large lecture, televised, or distance learning courses.
Supervising laboratory periods, workshops, production courses or other course activities, or assisting by handling equipment, performing demonstrations, etc.
Providing assistance to faculty engaged in authorized research by collecting and arranging data, developing source materials, summarizing reports, searching the literature and compiling bibliographies, developing and operating research equipment, preparing and caring for research materials, assisting in the conduct of experiments, etc.
Providing general assistance to the faculty in the evaluation of student work and examinations, and in the preparation of course materials and aids;
Maintaining office hours for the purpose of providing direct individual contact between student and Graduate Assistant or otherwise clarifying course material or course content for students
Performing other duties directly related to the instructional program which require knowledge and skills beyond those generally possessed by undergraduate assistants.
Graduate Assistants shall not be responsible for the instructional content of a course, for selection of student assignments, for planning of examinations, or for determining the term grade for students, nor are they assigned responsibility for instructing the entire enrollment of a class, or for providing the entire instruction of a group of students enrolled in a course.
Departments are responsible to inform each Graduate Assistant of University policies that relate to their assignment and to assist the Graduate Assistant in the implementation of these policies.
If a Graduate Assistant has an extended absence or does not complete the assigned work, the salary may be reduced accordingly.
Work time can vary weekly but can range from 1-10 hours per week and cannot exceed a total of $5000 (gross) for the academic year.
