About the Role
Blades Group is looking for a reliable and hardworking Production & Grounds Associate to support our asphalt bagging production line and maintain our campus grounds in Uvalde, TX. This is a hands\-on position that combines production line work with grounds and facility maintenance.
You'll help keep operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently - both inside the plant and around the property.
What You'll Do
Assist in operating and maintaining the production line, including assembling, palletizing, and packaging products.
Inspect finished goods to ensure quality and accuracy.
Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
Perform grounds keeping duties, such as mowing, trimming, cleaning outdoor areas, and maintaining landscaping around the facility.
Help with general facility upkeep, including light maintenance as needed.
Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Work as part of a close\-knit team, taking on tasks as needed to support production and site operations.

What You'll Do:
Know Business Demands. Become thoroughly familiar with the day's business demands by reviewing schedule and individual customer orders and the beginning of and continuously during shifts.
Direct Loading and Delivery. Direct Plant Operators, Loader Operators, Drivers, or Batch Plant Operators regarding which material to load on trucks. Direct Drivers regarding which customer job site to receive delivery.
Follow Loading Procedures. Weigh Company and non-company trucks on truck scale before and after being loaded with aggregate products. Write or print delivery tickets for all loads of material leaving the yard.
Report Issues. Immediately report any delivery problems to service or sales representatives for quick resolution or mitigation.
Receive Customer Orders. Receive customer orders, mostly by telephone, but also from drivers on Company radio, service or sales representatives over radio or in person, and occasionally by customers in person. Determine Schedules. Tactfully balance cost effective delivery times and rates for Company with customer demands. Make schedule for drivers for next business day in correspondence with customer order requirements.

We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our growing Outside Plant team in our Uvalde, TX Market. The Construction Manager is responsible for field management (schedule and budget) for multiple fiber network construction projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience building out fiber networks at scale, ideally including fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. Includes field oversight of OSP construction firms, and rapid resolution of roadblocks. This role plays a critical part in the construction and activation of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks. This position requires both field and occasional indoor work. A strong understanding of industry safety standards, construction drawings, and network documentation is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage OSP engineering and construction vendors at a tactical project level, including determination of aerial vs. UG approach at segment level, and approval of handhole and drop locations.
Ensure vendor compliance with OSP engineering & construction standards.
Facilitate project progress with materials and labor/expertise when warranted.
Conduct field inspections to ensure quality assurance on specific projects as assigned including adherence to standards, per design/as builts and invoicing.
Manage emergency maintenance activities when assigned.
Reviews construction packages for each Zone for construction feasibility before issuing contractor notice to proceed.
Directly manages individual contractors for new head ends or manages a GC performing turnkey headend construction.

Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.

JOB SUMMARY: A substitute teacher is responsible for enabling each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his or her regular teacher. A substitute teacher is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the regular teacher and meeting the duties of teaching as outlines in the policies of the school and Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Drivers can earn trip pay based on a calculation of dispatched miles that ranges from $.45 to $.64 cpm depending on route and experience.
No more than 1 CMV on-road preventable accident in the last 2 years. No major CMV preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years, or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test. No drug related conviction within the past 5 years, or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL. No positive/refused tests in the past 10 years with CDL-A/CLP.
