Accurately receive and relay messages and test results to the appropriate person/location in a manner consistent with clinic practices and/or standards. Gather all necessary and appropriate information from a caller and relay information to the appropriate provider for necessary follow-up. Inform reception desk of provider's schedule status and assist in coordination of urgent and non-urgent provider schedule changes to ensure patient and provider needs are met. Perform patient correspondence when requested and assist patients in completing forms when appropriate. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to procedure and OSHA standards. Complete scheduled cleaning requirements for designated work areas. Document completion of work to comply with infection control and OSHA standards Implement other infection control procedures as needed and adhere to protective clothing requirements. Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well organized. Process and deliver department inventory requests in a timely manner. Routinely check expiration dates and remove or replace outdated supplies. Maintain prescription sample supply cabinet as per clinic protocol Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adequate records are kept. Ensure inventory of instruments and equipment is current. Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated as needed and maintained in proper working order.
