Full-Time Position - Leon and Lamoni Locations Schedule - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7am-5pm General Duties: ยท * Greets and escorts patients to exam room for medical provider visit. * Obtains and documents subjective (chief complaint, allergies, pain) and objective (vital signs, weight) data accurately and concisely.
* Applies nursing care in accordance with Chapter Six of the Code of Iowa.
* Communicates to provider information about patient; any problems, needs or changes in patient status.
* Provides basic education and applicable handouts to patients appropriate to their age and identified learning considerations and needs; explains lab/diagnostic test to the patient including proper preparation.
* Administers medications or treatments (per scope of practice) to the patient as ordered by the provider or delegated by a registered nurse. Utilizes proper procedure with special consideration for patient safety.
Education/Experience:
* Current RN License, LPN License or Certified Medical Assistant certificate required.
* Knowledge of nursing care in accordance with regulations and practices established by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
* Consistent demonstration of a team approach to care.
* Ability to consistently meet the department work schedule as designated.
* Computer literate.
* Two years nursing experience preferred.
