    **Job Category:** Lift Maintenance PL Administers the Inspection and Quality Control of aircraft completions, maintenance and modifications functions in accordance with part 145 repair station and regulatory requirements. _To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to this position as needed._ + Direct, plan and layout the details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and instructions. + Coordinate with the FAA Certificate Holding District Office and other Federal Aviation Administration offices regarding repair station issues. + Serve as the primary contact with the FAA and final authority to approve aircraft for return to service all articles maintained or altered by the repair station. + Ensures preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment complies with 14 CFR, manufactures specifications, Company policy and procedures as well as other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA when accomplishing maintenance. + Assist when necessary to meet completion and production schedules and produce the quality maintenance. + Verify that each part or component is effective for the aircraft on which it will be installed. + Adhere to material handling and control procedures specified in RSQCM and by the equipment manufacturers. Oversee parts and material receiving inspection. + Assure the preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections of all articles maintained or altered by the repair station are completed and results recorded as outlined in this manual and the RSQCM. + Ensure that all department internal company forms, maintenance records, documents, work orders, etc. are completed, including performing maintenance computer system transactions as required. + Maintain and utilize RSQCM and aircraft manuals. + Make revisions as necessary to the documents of the repair station including but not limited to the Supervisory and Inspection Personnel Roster and Inspector Stamp Roster. + Administer recurrent training, including required FAA AMT training, and keep necessary licenses and certifications up-to-date. + Ensure proper calibration of required tooling. + Evaluate the area and equipment that will be utilized to ensure that safety is not compromised before performing any maintenance action; apply safety first at all times. + Fosters the Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment. + Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing the company's Quality Assurance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. If the Quality Assurance Manager is in disagreement with the Director of Maintenance, they may report the matter to the Director of Safety. This is an in-office position located in Frisco, TX. QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum Requirements) Must hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant (A&P) ratings Within the preceding 24 months, must have had at least six (6) months experience with either inspection, maintenance or return to service of an aircraft or system in accordance with the privileges granted by the license held. S/he may delegate these duties; however, cannot delegate responsibility. Must be able to pass a pre-employment FAA/DOT drug test and be eligible for enrollment in the company's FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Program as a condition of employment. Must be willing and able to travel periodically, approximately 20% of the time, to support quality assurance functions, including audits and inspections at company sites and vendor facilities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including FAA regulations and company policies. Coordinate with the FAA Certificate Holding District Office and other Federal Aviation Administration offices regarding Quality Assurance issues. Provide Maintenance Event Release from all maintenance activity. Review for accuracy all supporting documentation submitted for return to service following scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the aerospace & defense industry, specifically with creating, approving, and validating First Article Inspections. This role demands an individual with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes across a wide range of commodities, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Review, approve, and audit First Article Inspection reports (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 standards. Review drawings, certificates, characteristic results, specifications, documentation and certification for all FAIs, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Validate compliance with customer specifications, purchase orders, certifications, Approved Products Lists (APLs), Qualified Products Lists (QPLs), and Approved Supplier Lists (ASLs). Determine end-to-end traceability between customer technical data package and supplier provided objective evidence Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customer teams to resolve FAI discrepancies and non-conformance issues. Provide technical support, assistance and guidance on First Article Inspection processes to both internal teammates and suppliers. Collaborate with customer supply chain management teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of FAIs from suppliers. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing data to assess the suitability and completeness of FAIs. Assist in process improvements and implement best practices for FAI procedures within the quality assurance framework. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to AS9102 and aerospace & defense manufacturing Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members and support continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: 10+ recent years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with at least 5 years of primary focus creating, reviewing, or approving First Article Inspections (FAIs). Extensive hands-on manufacturing experience across multiple commodities, such as: Composites Circuit board assemblies Machined parts Sheet metal Structural assemblies Hydraulics and pneumatics Avionics Raw materials Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in documentation, specifications, and manufacturing processes. A working understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME/ASQ Y14.5) In-depth knowledge of purchase orders, certifications, APLs, QPLs, and ASLs. Demonstrated experience interpreting industry specifications (ASME, ASTM, SAE, etc.). Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, technical data, and specifications. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the customer and their suppliers. Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9102, AS9100, and other relevant aerospace & defense standards. Demonstrated computer literacy. Additional Qualifications considered a plus: Currently holds or has held auditor certifications. Experience with ERP systems and quality management software. Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Previous experience in audit processes and supporting external audits. CMM Programming/Operator Experience. Experience with web-based applications, multi-factor authentication, virtual desktop environments, and VPN.
