Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Infant Teachers:
Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.

This position carries a full-time teaching load of 12 contact hours per semester.
The successful candidate will teach general education and upper-level courses in geology and geosciences such as Introductory Geology, Environmental Geology, Earth Materials, Written and/or Oral Communications, Regional Geology, Field Techniques, and Contemporary Geoscience Issues, as well as courses in the candidate's specialty.
