Teaching staff need to be able to always see and hear all infants and toddlers. All infants and toddlers should be easily seen (if not in the direct line of sight, then by looking up or slightly adjusting one's position) by at least one member of the teaching staff. The exception is school-age children who will have privacy in the use of bathrooms. • Teaching staff supervises by positioning themselves to see as many children as possible. • Assist head teacher with both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. • Maintain children's physical needs met (toiletry and diapering). • Maintain children's faces and body clean. • Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children's development. • Maintain daily open communication with parents. • Participate in weekly meetings with your lead teacher to plan curriculum (during the class nap time or at other times when awake children are not present).
