The UC Master Gardener Program is an educational program under UC ANR designed to teach and effectively extend information that addresses gardening needs in communities throughout the state of California and addresses the strategic initiatives of UC ANR. Since 1981, the UC Master Gardener Program has been extending UC Research-based information about home horticulture and pest management to the public. UC trained and certified Master Gardener volunteers offer services and outreach to the general public in 53 California counties through local UCCE offices. Last year 6,216 active UC Master Gardener volunteers donated 395,239 hours, and 7.7+ million hours have been donated since the program's inception.
Position Summary:
This position will enhance UC Master Gardener Program effectiveness through the development and management of in person and online trainings. Responsibilities include project management and oversight of statewide trainings, including online webinars, new coordinator and advisor onboarding, regional/statewide advanced training, triennial statewide conference, as well as training assets such as expert speaker database, hands-on activities to support eLearning, creation of toolkits, in-person instruction materials/support, and ongoing communication/relationship building with subject matter experts.
This position will work closely with the eLearning Specialist who will serve as lead for the Training Specialist. Working together, this team will ensure the effective integration of eLearning instruction into the program's training framework. They will spearhead the creation and execution of annual training plans, contributing to 5-year and strategic planning efforts pertaining to programmatic training and related support requirements.
They will inform the training budget for the statewide program, requiring financial stewardship to optimize resources while meeting training objectives effectively. Where possible, they will pursue funding and partnership opportunities to expand on existing and future training opportunities.
This position will nurture collaborative relationships within the UC Master Gardener statewide team and throughout the program community. This position is expected to be a subject matter expert in training methodologies and adult learning. They will engage with subject matter experts in horticulture, community engagement, volunteer engagement, IPM, and other program related fields.
This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
The home department for this position is the Statewide Master Gardener Program. While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements for applicants living in the State of California at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.
Pay Scale: $66,500.00 /year to $92,400.00/year

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field and / or equivalent experience / training

Awareness of best practices in educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and education methodologies.

Build and maintain partnerships to enhance the support network for individuals with special needs.
Maintain accurate records of individual progress, training activities, and any challenges encountered.

Job Description
The Department of UHealth Connect has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Contact Center Trainer to work in Miami, FL. The Contact Center Trainer oversees and delivers training via classroom and one-on-one sessions for all employees involved in front end revenue cycle access and patient care, specifically, the systems and skills required for providing general patient information, registration and scheduling in a contact center environment. The incumbent in this role will maintain a solid understanding of the overall integration of business applications and provides training and support to staff members. Key responsibilities of this role include oversight of training activities to reinforce appropriate system usage in the delivery of robust patient-centered care, participation in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality. This role also participates in curriculum development, manual creation and revisions, and collaborates with other key stakeholders (i.e., TOD, UMIT, UMCET etc.) for all supported business applications and patient access related competencies.
Core Responsibilities:
Develops lesson plans, curriculum, training manuals, classroom exercises, competency assessment and testing, and online computer based learning modules in support of the employees' roles and job functions.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Coordinates and delivers safety-focused training for new and existing employees, including onboarding, refresher training, and job-specific instruction.
+ Responsible for implementing and reinforcing new safety training programs, ensuring employees understand and comply with updated safety standards.
+ Administers, monitors, and documents all safety-related training events; conducts one-on-one and group training sessions.
+ Utilizes, understands, and is proficient with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); ensures all employees are certified, recertified, and consistently following updated safety procedures.
+ Conducts daily/weekly safety walks, inspections, and audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or process gaps; ensures timely corrective actions.
+ Assists with identifying potential safety risks or bottlenecks and collaborates with leadership to resolve issues promptly.
+ Reviews key safety metrics and trends to ensure teams are meeting safety expectations and operational requirements.
+ Provides recommendations to leadership regarding safety improvements, employee behaviors, and corrective action needs.
+ Establishes and monitors safety performance standards and communicates key data to management.
+ Collaborates with supervisors, HR, and operations leaders to reinforce safety expectations during training and daily operations.
+ Assists with audit compliance and participates in Gemba / observation walks focused on safety and process accuracy.
+ Responsible for conducting and documenting all required safety inspections in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
+ Supports the development and documentation of updated safety processes, procedures, and training materials.
+ Performs other safety and operational duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ High School Degree or Equivalent required
+ Associates' Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) - Business or related field preferred
+ 4 years of warehouse experience required.
+ 2 years operational or administrative experience
+ 1 year experience in a training role.
+ 1 years required, 2 years preferred delivering training material and communications, formally or informally
+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, and risk prevention strategies.
