About the OB/GYN Department:
The OB/GYN Department has 26 faculty members and over 140 private attendings across all Gynecological and Obstetrical specialties. The Department consists of five divisions (Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Family Planning) and has an accredited residency program with 7 residents per year and 4 accredited fellowship programs. The REI Division has 3 internationally renowned faculty members with a growing REI clinical practice, an active research program with federal grant funding, and an REI fellowship program.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include direct patient care with a primary focus on infertility as well as other reproductive endocrine related disorders at one of our off-site and on-site offices (Tarzana/Beverly Hills). Active involvement in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students expected. Participation in research is desired, but not required.

Core responsibilities include:
Outpatient continuity clinic and urgent care teaching with residents and medical students, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00
Maintaining a personal panel of continuity patients
Supervising inpatient teaching rounds in the newborn nursery on a rotating basis every 4-5 weeks, Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 19:00
Participating in educational didactic half-days on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 17:00

Education and Experienced Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program, and possession of an unrestricted medical license issued by the Medical Board of California
Demonstrated experience in the comprehensive outpatient care of adults, geriatrics, children, and newborns, with recent and meaningful involvement in the teaching of residents and/or medical students
Clinical experience in the inpatient management of both adult and newborn patients.
Current board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)

The position of Clinical Review Nurse is within our Toxicology division located at our **Kansas City, MO** site within Workplace Solutions. **What You'll Work On**
The Clinical Review Specialist will be part of an elite group of personnel providing support to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, Workplace Solutions clients. This support includes, but is not limited to:
+ Provide subject matter expertise in executing Drug Testing Services across Workplace Solutions broad customer base.
+ Work closely with drug & alcohol testing staff and support to uphold and preserve the integrity of the clinical review process. Participate in process improvement discussions, in partnership with Workplace Operations Leadership.
+ Interpret and report results of Workplace clients consistent with Workplace Solutions written Standard Operating Procedures.

The Clinical Appeals Nurse is responsible for processing clinical appeals and attending state hearings within compliance and regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, and contractual obligations.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the completion of clinical appeals and state hearings from all states
Perform clinical reviews of member and provider appeals for medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and waiver services
Analyze medical records, supporting documentation, and applicable guidelines to make informed decisions
Document clinical rationale clearly and accurately in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards
Work closely with medical directors, and pharmacists to resolve complex cases.
Communicate outcomes effectively to members, and providers.
Review and complete all provider clinical appeals within required timeframes
Review and complete member clinical appeals within required timeframes
Communicate with state agencies and internal departments to prepare for State Hearings
Apply CareSource Medical Policy and Milliman guidelines when processing clinical appeals
Issue administrative denials appropriately
Refer denials based on medical necessity to medical director
Collaborate with the Quality Improvement and Clinical Operations teams to prepare all requests for Independent External Review
Participate in training programs to maintain clinical and regulatory expertise.
Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree required
Managed care, appeals, Medicare, and Medicaid experience preferred
Prior clinical appeals, and/or Utilization review experience is strongly preferred
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Facets
Knowledge of NCQA, URAC, OAC, and MDCH regulations

Compensation Range:
$62,700.00 - $100,400.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
