Our client in Lehi, Utah, is adding a Construction Superintendent to their team, as they are growing!
Must have a minimum of: 10 years superintendent in heavy civil, 10 years pipe experience (sewer, Water, Storm drain,), and 10 years managing multiple crew on multiple projects.
Job Summary
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all plans, specifications, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and oversee site workers.
- Approve timecards and time-off requests.
- Prepare work schedules and job assignments.
- Communicate and enforce safety procedures and site rules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules and cost-effective completion plans.
- Collaborate with internal staff to create preconstruction estimates and labor/material budgets.
- Coordinate and schedule work activities for tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
- Inspect work regularly for quality, safety, and timeliness.
- Prepare progress reports and provide updates to owners, architects, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with architectural plans, engineering specifications, zoning, and regulations.
- Obtain required permits and licenses and ensure contract compliance.
- Monitor project budgets and communicate cost variances.
- Maintain accurate cost and inventory records.
- Address safety violations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with union representatives as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
