POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Integrated Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) and Social Services Director, the Postdoctoral Psychological Associate position is designed to provide supervised clinical postdoctoral experience for up to two years. Supervision is provided by licensed clinical psychologists. As an essential member of our patient and family centered care team, the Postdoctoral Psychological Associate provides consultation, assessments, and time-limited treatment for our patients and families. Additionally, this position helps develop, nurture, and sustain community resources for patients and families. Behavioral Health staff are essential team members in planning and implementing strategies to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients and families. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life. Position Summary The Psychologist - HSPP position is responsible for provision of clinical care, competency development, clinical supervision, authorization of treatment plans/care, training, and support of Doctoral, Master's and Bachelor's prepared behavioral health staff. This position shall develop, conduct, and evaluate training for all levels of direct clinical service staff and interns to ensure utilization of evidence based practice for quality care. The Psychologist - HSPP will be a subject matter expert for clinical care and provide guidance on treatment recommendations and provision of clinical services. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Aspire utilizing evidence-based best practice models. The position will also work in conjunction with management in working towards Aspire's strategic priorities and excellence in health care. Education/Experience Doctoral degree in Psychology from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required A minimum of two (2) years experience post licensure as an HSPP Psychologist required Community Mental Health experience highly preferred Substance use evaluation experience preferred Knowledge of social service systems, community resources, legal systems, and child welfare systems highly preferred Licensure Must be recognized as a Licensed Psychologist by the State of Indiana with HSPP designation Other Requirements Deep personal commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Aspire Indiana Health Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalism Must have excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills Must be able to exhibit a high level of professionalism when working with colleagues Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills Must be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking skills Must have reliable transportation to attend trainings and/or meetings Benefits Aspire prioritizes a work culture that takes care of employees not only at work but in their personal lives as well.
