DUTIES:
Observing Residents
Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse
Taking care of a Resident's personal hygiene, including bed bath, shaving, etc.
Setting up of meal trays, and documenting food/fluid intake
Feeding Residents & serving nutritional supplements
Making beds & keeping the Residents' space clean and tidy
Transporting Residents within the Facility
Turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores

JOB SUMMARY

Encourage family involvement through volunteering and visitation.
Provide a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit for the residents and staff.
Assist in providing an individualized symptom management tracking system as needed per resident, including development and maintenance of individualized, non-pharmacological interventions implemented.
Complete all required documentation.
Maintain all program policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

Medical needs - Check vital signs and weight. Perform sugar and acetone urine testing and specimen collection. Administer non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz, and therapeutic baths.
Professional development - Maintain any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent (PCA)
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The HospitalityAide is a part-time position based on business needs and will work an estimated 20 hours per week. Food preparation.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Collect and put away dishes.

When working an event, pull and transport necessary items; set up, break down and clean; and return supplies and equipment to designated storages in compliance with banquet standards and instructions.
Serve meals and beverages.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in a café, restaurant, or other food service organization preferred, however, no experience is required. Training will be provided.

Assist with passing and retrieval of meal trays to cognizant residents and assist with cleaning of dining areas after meals
Make unoccupied beds and change bed linens
Organize residents' drawers and closets and label all personal items
Organize shower rooms and clean utility rooms as well as ensure adequate inventory
Provide 1:1 attention to cognitively impaired residents
Deliver residents' mail
Transport wheelchair bound residents to and from rooms
Respond to call lights promptly
