The Family Home Visitor will coordinate enrollment for the CHOIC (Choosing Healthy Outcomes for Infants and Children) program and provide services to mothers referred by Children and Youth Services (CYS) in Beaver County.
The full-time role will provide free in-home education services and support for families. The position will review and update a Plan of Safe Care in collaboration with the mother; assess infant's safety and monitor infant developmental stages; and offer guidance, training and referrals to parents in order to achieve positive support outcomes for each high-risk family receiving services.
Travel throughout Beaver County is required, with mileage reimbursement available.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Child Development, Therapy or a related field and two (2) years' working in a Human Services profession or as a caseworker
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate information to a diverse audience
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
Preferred:
* Knowledge of child development, trauma informed care, drug or alcohol counseling or infant care
* Experience with family units in home-based setting or case management

Lifesteps, a local, human services agency, is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Behavior Specialist to work with individuals who live in a Lifesteps community home program or individuals who are external participants. Behavior Specialists promote individual health, safety, and quality of life through behavioral skill development.
The Behavior Specialist will be based in the Murrysville / Monroeville area and will travel throughout Westmoreland, Washington, and Allegheny Counties to provide services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The schedule is 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Duties:
- The Behavioral Specialist performs a functional assessment and develops strategies to support a participant accordingly. This could include: social emotional plans, functional behavioral analyses, behavior plans, restrictive procedures, and associated documentation necessary for tracking plan implementation.
- Provides on-site training to participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participant success.
- Develops effective behavior support plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participant progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Master's Degree in Human Services or a closely related field.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Current driver's license and valid auto insurance..
Preferred:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SAFETY AND WELLNESS ADVOCATE:
Complete safety inspections at residential service locations to ensure that employees are following established policies and procedures
Collaborate with relevant management personnel to identify and enact an action plan for resolution of identified findings that result from inspections
Utilize data and trends to support the completion of safety inspections and training
Obtain a thorough understanding of applicable regulations and their application to our organization
Evaluate effectiveness of current training programs related to safety and abuse, and implement new trainings as necessary
Manage training related to recognition of signs of abuse (offender training, signs of abuse, etc.), child abuse safety training, and other training, as applicable
Assist with PMH investigations, as assigned by the Consumer Advocacy Director
Complete trainings relevant to wellness, positive approaches, and all other relevant trainings, as assigned by the Safety and Wellness Advocacy Director
Provide support to all departments and attend department meetings when needed
Act as agency representative as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety and Wellness Advocacy Director
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE SAFETY AND WELLNESS ADVOCATE:
