Family Support Specialist / Home Visitor Lifesteps, a local non-profit agency, is seeking a full-time Family Support Specialist for the Beaver, PA office. The Family Home Visitor will coordinate enrollment for the CHOIC (Choosing Healthy Outcomes for Infants and Children) program and provide services to mothers referred by Children and Youth Services (CYS) in Beaver County. The full-time role will provide free in-home education services and support for families. The position will review and update a Plan of Safe Care in collaboration with the mother; assess infant's safety and monitor infant developmental stages; and offer guidance, training and referrals to parents in order to achieve positive support outcomes for each high-risk family receiving services. Behavior Specialists promote individual health, safety, and quality of life through behavioral skill development. The Behavior Specialist will be based in the Murrysville / Monroeville area and will travel throughout Westmoreland, Washington, and Allegheny Counties to provide services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The schedule is 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Job Duties: * The Behavioral Specialist performs a functional assessment and develops strategies to support a participant accordingly. This could include: social emotional plans, functional behavioral analyses, behavior plans, restrictive procedures, and associated documentation necessary for tracking plan implementation. * Provides on-site training to participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participant success. * Develops effective behavior support plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participant progress. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * Master's Degree in Human Services or a closely related field. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. * Current driver's license and valid auto insurance..
