Key Responsibilities:
1. Strives to provide an excellent patient food service experience with compassion, tact, cheerfulness, accuracy, patience, flexibility in scheduling, and ability to work well with team members, receiving and applying feedback from peers and superiors..
2. Responsible for documenting the time and location of tray deliveries using the manual or electronic systems.
3. The host may also take meal orders using an iPad and Room Service Connect assisting patients who are unable call.
4. Responsible for picking up soiled trays from the patient rooms and dirty utility areas after meal service, and assists where needed in the room service operation.
5. Responsible for performing other duties as assigned (tray assembly, prepping food, dishwashing, etc.), and relieves the Call Center and Room Service Line staff breaks as needed. The Host assists in restocking the room service line and units of the floor (along with the starter and expeditor) as assigned.
6. Employees in this position must be familiar with all menu offerings, diet variations and specifics of what may be ordered by patients based on his/her physician-prescribed diet.
7. Responsible for documenting food and fluid intake of the patients.
8. This position will also cover some duties in the dish room.
9. The Host is the key personal contact person between the Food & Nutrition services department and the patient.
10. Host staff will deliver trays to patients “round robin” which means that each Host will deliver any available cart to any floor and responsible for picking up trays.
11. Complies with food handling standards and regulations.
12. Assists with training of new staff as requested.
Qualifications:
1. Effective listening skills and the ability to follow through with directions are essential.
2. Requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively and perform basic math.
3. Basic computer skills and phone etiquette essential.
4. Must be able to work under stress of deadlines, work independently, and work as part of a team.
5. Schedule must permit early morning or evening shifts, as well as days, weekends and holiday shifts.
Experience: Previous customer service experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Employee must have one of the following:
1. A current and original ANSI-accredited food handler certificate will be acceptable and recognized by the EHD in accordance with Arizona State Ordinance requirement.
2. For the purposes of the Arizona State Ordinance, other Arizona County food handler cards will be accepted and valid until the card expires.
Preferences:
Experience: Previous diet office experience and basic knowledge of therapeutic diets desired.
Special Position Requirements:
Exposure Categories: Category II: Expected duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues
Work Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
2. Ability to walk for up to 8 to 12 hours per day.
3. Position also includes standing and pushing tray carts. Also bending/stooping will be done more to take trays off lower shelves of new carts.
4. Office position requires sitting for 8 to 12 hours per day.
5. Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach and possess the ability to hear and speak clearly.
6. Must be able to use a computer keyboard and mouse.
7. Fine hand movements required for data entry with computer tablets.

Our beautiful Savanna House community is looking for a Server to join our amazing team of senior living heroes!
Shift: PRN ("on-call" or as needed) to help with additional coverage
Job Summary: The Server is responsible for making the residents dining experience pleasant and positive; providing the highest quality of customer service, while maintaining dining areas, seating residents and serving meals.
Essential Job Duties (Include % of time for each responsibility):
- Takes written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner making sure that customer satisfaction is the result 100%
- Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested 30%
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally (serving from the left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.) 100%
- Review residents dietary needs, as outlined by Supervisor 5%
- Track resident attendance at meals, and provide that information in a timely manner to the appropriate person 5%

Essential Functions

* Ensures that all server pre-service and post-service work is successfully completed. This will be accomplished by providing delegation to assigned Health Service staff.
* Assign sections and tables to Health Services staff, to ensure all residents and guests are served in a timely manner.
* Oversees the cleaning and preparation of the dining room and tables ensuring they are set in restaurant style dining appearance, including the resetting of all chairs.
* Resets table, linens and ensures condiments are filled and available.
* Ensures drink station and/or salad bar are set according to department policies and procedures.
* Takes orders for meals and ensures Health Services staff take orders from residents using excellent customer service skills.
* Ensures drinks are filled according to residents / guests requests and are kept filled as needed.
* Serves and oversees the service of residents and guests to ensure their choices are met.
* Manages all guest reservations, if necessary, makes sure the Private Dining Room is cleaned and set for reservations.
* Ensures that all cleaning checklists and cleaning responsibilities are completed per community policies and procedures.
* Ensures all room trays are set up and delivered as needed.
* Maintains confidentiality of residents personal information in and out of the community and protects and supports residents rights.
* Maintains a professional appearance by wearing clean, required uniform and a demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests.
* Maintains a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance.

The Host Couple position exists to provide attentive and grace-filled hospitality to the guests at Focus on the Family's Retreat Centers, ensuring that each guest is welcomed and cared for during their stay by responding to any needs and concerns guests may have. The Host Couple is an active and critical member of the Hospitality Team, serving as the primary provider of non-therapeutic care and connection between the guests and the Retreat Center staff.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Is present for arrival on Sunday or Wednesday calling each guest to provide a personal introduction, offering a warm greeting, providing tours, carrying luggage, etc.
Is in the Hospitality Center each morning by 7:00am to welcome guests, fellowship with them, and lead prayer, continuing to serve and be present throughout breakfast
Is present in the Hospitality Center throughout dinner and the evening, engaging with couples and providing a relaxing and inviting environment to allow for more connection with each guest. Is present at the close of intensives - praying with the guests and offering encouragement as they depart
Greets every person by name and makes conversation, prays for and with the guests
Ensures common areas are arranged appropriately and items are put away from the night before
Responds to any conflicts with guests ensuring that safety is top priority
Facilitates and maintains communication throughout the week with the Operations team and therapists to partner in providing an excellent experience for each guest
Performs light maintenance and cleaning needs for the week, as needed
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
May perform additional maintenance and cleaning including sweeping, emptying trash, watering plants inside and outside, changing and charging batteries, replenishing supplies, and laundry, as needed
When temperature is below 40 degrees, starts fires in various fireplaces at specified times
Performs other duties as assigned
