Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves reading blueprints, selecting tooling, making program edits, and ensuring that all turned components meet strict dimensional and quality requirements. The ideal candidate has experience with Fanuc controls, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of precision and productivity. Harris & Bruno International (H&B), a printing equipment and spare parts manufacturer, is seeking a full-time swing shift CNC Lathe Setup Machinist Functions: This position will require a safety conscious, meticulous and detail-oriented person to operate and set up CNC machines. Must be able to read blueprints/engineering drawings. Must be able to use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc. Must be able to meet high quality standards. Salary Description Starting at $17/hr

PURPOSE: To machine new components and/or repair production equipment components for the manufacturing operations. Running multiple pieces of equipment to make parts to print. JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES): A variety of set-ups for standard and prototype machining jobs will be performed. Responsible for reworking and machining of new and spare production parts for various departments. Repairing of maintenance parts as needed. Inspect incoming parts. Order and maintain an inventory of consumable items for various departments. Complete lineup sheet for jobs in process. Reports manufacturing problems to the Group Leader or Foreman. Must have the technical competence to set up and operate a wide variety of shop equipment. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED; Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial. Proficiency in operating all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc. Previous welding industry experience is a plus (Stick & TIG); knowledge of welding is preferred. Must be safety conscious. Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications and procedures. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions. Must be a self-starter and have good communication skills. Must possess good organizational skills. Must have excellent mechanical aptitude. Ability to use various measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.) and must own these devices. Must have above average hand dexterity. Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine speeds and feed rates. You should be proficient in: Machine Safety Inspections Machine Setups for Production Runs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment. Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc. Follow all documented Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges Perform other duties as required/assigned.
