Specific Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:

General Qualifications:

Manage assigned cases and their related tasks and projects from case inception through discovery, trial, post-trial proceedings, and case closure
Assist with client document collection and witness interviews
Assist in propounding discovery and other statutory requests; assist attorneys with document review and production; prepare and review case files; discovery and trial documents in all aspects of case management
Prepare complex wage and hour analyses in Excel
Deposition and trial preparation and support
Work with Litigation Support to insure that electronic files are collected, reviewed, and managed in accordance with Firm standards
Must be able to work overtime as required
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of substantive litigation experience
Must have strong knowledge of state and federal court rules
E-filing experience in state and federal courts
Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the litigation lifecycle: case management, document review, and trial experience
Proficiency in e-discovery and litigation support tools such as CaseMap, Ipro, and Relativity
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to: ability to utilize styles/macros in word; ability to create tables of authorities and contents; strong Excel skills with pivot tables and formulas
Well-organized; demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and have excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior client service skills
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills and strong teamwork orientation
Must meet California Business & Professional Code

The Position

Key Responsibilities:
Contact outside sources to retrieve information and review and analyze same
Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources for case information
Organize materials needed for expert witness review
Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
Summarize transcripts and organize key documents
Prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
Manage documents and maintain organized case files
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, Paralegal Certificate preferred
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience
Insurance defense experience is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to integrate into a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Experience with drafting subpoenas and creating logs for records received.
Insurance Coverage experience is preferred but not required.
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $105,000 USD
