Support internal and external projects utilizing new technologies to improve efficiency, quality and achieve project objectives, including electronic field data collection, management, and reporting. Evaluate remedial alternatives and assist clients in developing cost-effective closure strategies and negotiating them with regulatory agencies. Appropriately delegate assignments to project team members and mentor junior staff and pull in technical experts to assist so that ERM can bring the most value to our clients. Prepare proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. Maintain and grow client relationships to generate repeat business. Build strong collaborative relationships with ERM employees, clients, and subcontractors. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (master's degree preferred) in engineering or geology or a closely related discipline. Position Summary CFR Outreach works to raise the profile of CFR and develop relationships with communities across the United States. Current initiatives focus on college and university students, educators, and administrators; state and local officials; local journalists; and congregational leaders and representatives of faith-based organizations. Under the direction of the State and Local Officials Initiative lead and the vice president and director of the National Program and Outreach department, the program associate supports the work of the State and Local Officials Initiative, which builds relationships and provides programming, forums for discussion and the sharing of best practices, and resources for elected officials across the country. This full-time position is based in CFR's New York City office on a hybrid basis. CFR currently defines hybrid status as working at least three days a week onsite, with Tuesdays and Thursdays considered institutional anchor days where all staff are required to be onsite. The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to): Supporting the CFR State and Local Officials Initiative virtual and in-person programmatic offerings and events, which include a webinar series, briefings with CFR experts, at least one annual foreign policy forum, and CFR representation at external conferences and professional gatherings across the country. Tasks include administrative support for scheduling events, initiating and editing draft correspondence including event invitations and thank you notes, preparing meeting materials, and contributing to reports for initiative activities. Supporting CFR communications and content dissemination efforts by updating webpages, preparing email campaign templates-including newsletters and surveys-and placing advertisements. Collecting qualitative and quantitative data across program offerings for reporting purposes and strategic decision-making. Maintaining CFR databases with accurate contact and participation information for state and local officials, their staff, and appropriate contacts at local government associations and convening organizations, scheduling meetings, taking and circulating meeting notes, and compiling follow-up tasks and action items. Collaborating on a monthly newsletter for state and local officials featuring a curated selection of CFR content. Writing and scheduling social media posts and sustaining online engagement across various CFR channels and platforms.
