Signature Hardware is currently hiring an Internet Merchandiser. This is a great opportunity in Digital Commerce!
Please Note: This position is open to remote candidates across the US (East Coast ideal but not required) or based out of Signature Hardware offices in Erlanger, KY.
Working with the sales operations manager, as well as other enterprise data and marketing teams, this position will assist in the development and execution of brand specific digital strategies across both FergusonHome.com and Ferguson.com environments. This role will focus on driving sales and margin growth in the channel while supporting the overall Signature Hardware brand strategy. This position will drive day-to-day merchandising updates across multiple websites within multiple ecommerce systems.
This role will focus on optimizing the customer shopping experience for Signature Hardware products across multiple sites and platforms. Merchandisers use creative ideas to drive unique shopping experiences across different customer segment groups. The Merchandiser will also assess the competitive landscape around their categories to stay best in class online.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Sales Operations Manager to implement a digital merchandising strategy to grow both sales and margin on assigned channels
Collaborate with Ferguson Home merchandising teams to promote a best-in-class merchandising experience
Collaborate with pricing groups and Sales Operations to execute digital promotional campaigns
Work with Digital Marketing teams to optimize online traffic to your brands
Assist in the creation of landing pages for the brand, categories, and key products to optimize customer experience
Analyze customer pathing through partner sites to find opportunities to increase conversions
Work with the merchandising groups to optimize search around key categories
Analyze and update cross-sell and up-sell products on the assigned products
Preferred Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or related role strongly preferred
Self-motivated and results oriented
Cross functional teamwork experience
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize
Product knowledge of plumbing products from a broad range of categories and manufacturers preferred
Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

The Digital Category Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience by enhancing the product presentation to drive sales and profitability. You will collaborate with vendors, marketing and IT to develop best-in-class shopping experiences for select Waterworks and Geosynthetics centered categories. Using data analytics, you will curate a product assortment that is visually appealing and creates a user-friendly experience. The merchandiser will also be responsible for driving traffic through Marketing and SEO to their assigned categories.
This position is also responsible for achieving monthly revenue and profit goals for each of the assigned categories. They will work with all departments in the company to achieve financial goals by providing the right experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
Conduct frequent competitive analyses and monitor daily/monthly/yearly sales and decide strategy based on the competitive landscape.
Responsible for managing categories across multiple domains.
Proactive iteration and merchandising optimization of brand(s) representation on site through data driven analysis
Responsible for developing and driving brand pricing strategies, monitoring the competitive landscape, and ensuring optimal sell-through rates and margin performance.
Ensure each category is profitable and meet their goals (Revenue$ and MGP$)
Operate cross functionality with Category Management, Ops, Sales Associates, and Marketing to support brand(s) strategy and internal success
Enhance customer's omnichannel shopping experience for categories managed through using merchandising tools to drive conversion and decreased bounce rates
Develop a good understanding of our different customer segments to execute unique product strategies and campaigns to each group.
Coordinates promotions and assists in fine tuning marketing initiatives for their assigned categories.
Strategizes directly with our marketing teams to ensure brands are performing well and represented well in our marketing activities.
Creates new landing pages and optimizes poor performing landing pages based on need shown by marketing data.
Advises the work of the data team to ensure all product information is accurate for assigned categories.

Qualifications:

This position includes stocking and arranging the product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers of Lowe's, Home Depot's and WalMart stores.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
* Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer and clay pottery
* Set and maintain the shelves according to retailer mandated planograms/modulars
* Install and maintain off-shelf display opportunities for Central Garden products
* Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
* Previous merchandising experience preferred
* Strong communication skills needed to interact with store management and consumers
* Strong reading skills needed to understand packaging labels and re-tagging projects
* Must be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work day
* Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and hand powered tools
* Must have a valid driver's license in the state in which you reside, a good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of current personal car insurance with you listed as an insured driver
* Must have daily access to internet/email
* Must have personal Smartphone with a current operating system: Android 13.0 or above, or Apple IOS 15.0 and above for daily communications with supervisor
* Responsible, reliable and dependable work habits
* Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
WORKING CONDITIONS
* Retail store environment - garden center and throughout retail store
* Work week is Monday - Friday and some weekends (primarily Saturday)
* Must be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work day
* Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and powered hand tools
* Daily travel throughout territory will require driving time (personal car)
