In this high-impact role, you will support processing bi-weekly, semi-monthly and off-cycle payments to salaried and hourly Team members within company pay policies and requirements of all applicable Federal, State and Local laws. Perform functions necessary to maintain accurate employee records. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. While playing a key role in broader department initiatives. What You Will Do:
Processes bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and supplemental payrolls
Reviews and analyzes timesheets, payroll payment spreadsheets and all other source documents for accuracy and process them in the HRIS system
Transfers timecard information from timekeeping system to the HRIS system
Balances all earnings and deductions prior to finalizing the payroll for printing
Ensures accurate tax set-ups on employee's record in Dayforce.
Executes imports for miscellaneous payments, taxable fringe benefits and other items to be included in employee compensation as information is received (i.e. Taxable Value of tickets, Per Diems, College Scholarships, etc.)
Administration of garnishments and issuance of related payments
Maintain Employee Records
Maintain the data integrity of employee information in the HRIS and time and attendance applications
Process new hires, rehires, terms, job changes and other changes in the time and attendance application
Review all employee change and payroll requests for missing information and work with HR and/or Department Managers to obtain missing information
Maintains paid time off spreadsheets
Communication, Payroll Administration and Auditing
When questions arise, they clearly articulate the effect of earnings, deductions (pre and post-tax), and tax withholdings specific to employee's net pay. Assist employees with calculating effects on net pay for future changes (i.e. 401(k) deferral change, change to tax elections, change in salary, etc.)
Identifies problems and works with People and Culture to resolve any discrepancies related to employee's pay, including pay rate issues, paid time off accruals and tax withholdings
Run audits and payroll reports to identify and resolve issues
Assists in year-end process
Application Support
Provides login assistance and password resets
Provides frontline to support employees and managers with the HRIS and Workforce Management applications.
Assists with Training of staff on HRIS and Workforce Management applications
Creates, updates, and maintains written documentation related to payroll processes and policies
Creates, updates, and maintains employee and manager user guides for system access and tasks related to ABIMM and Dayforce.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Other duties as assigned.

Business acumen with experience in fiscal operations management and accounting including a demonstrated ability to apply and adapt accounting principles and methods to a variety of fiscal situations. Considerable experience with complex integrated Payroll, HRIS and financial systems. Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, understanding of internal controls. Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with employees, departments and agencies external to the University and provide customer service in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities
Act as named Specialist for Managed Payroll and Payroll Administrative customers; and support other OSV payroll, tax and garnishment customers as needed within the service team.
Manage and respond to cases daily to ensure service level agreements and high client satisfaction levels are being met.
Respond to internal escalated cases from payroll team and other internal stakeholders.
Manage the timely resolution of customer issues including handling customer escalations, perform and document Root Cause Analysis and implement remedial procedures to close gaps identified.
Lead scheduled weekly, monthly, and quarterly client calls; participate in new client transition and other service area calls as needed, such as tax.
Configure basic to medium complex Workday pay components, deductions, run categories and support the year-end process and possible assist with special projects as needed.
Troubleshoot quarter and year-end audit reports and make recommendations to customers.
Meet quality and production metrics and scorecards.
Maintains payroll services support documentation.

Essential Duties
Performs a variety of complex, manual and systematic, computations as it relates to proper calculation of wages, overtime, supplemental pay, and voluntary and involuntary deductions.
Provides excellent customer service by answering the phone or email in a timely and professional manner.
Researches, resolves and communicates payroll issues accurately and efficiently both orally and written.
Reconciles and requests remittances for vendor payments associated with payroll withholding.
Provides payroll proof processing support to the Payroll Systems Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Reviews and understands the policies in place for processing employment data, including pay and benefits.
Regularly performs leave accruals data review and maintenance, to include leave history correction as warranted. Coordinates the transfer of sick leave balance information per school board policy.
Reconciles and enters into the appropriate payroll, the year-end sick and vacation leave payout information.
Performs complex prorate calculations to ensure accurate payment of wages for employees who are newly hired, terminating or on leave with or without pay.
Maintains and distributes employee schedule work day calendars used for payroll process planning and salary prorate calculation.
Performs the collection, review, and processing of time cards, electronic time and attendance reporting, and other related payroll documentation. Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies to assure employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner. Gives support to decentralized payroll time and attendance processors.
Facilitates processing cash receipts provided by various organizations to NNPS as the pay agent, by ensuring proper general ledger account coding and ensuring the amount received is sufficient to cover wages and taxes based on time sheet information provided.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Completion of standard high school, supplemented by courses in bookkeeping and accounting. Must possess knowledge of Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, and personal computer software. Some knowledge of school system business practices and procedures preferred. General knowledge of payroll tax withholding laws and programs, legal requirements for court ordered deductions, including but not limited to child support, garnishments, and bankruptcy, standard office procedures, practices and equipment is beneficial. Must possess the ability to maintain complex financial records and prepare records and statements, make mathematical computations quickly and accurately, and post accounts with speed and accuracy.
