Key Duties
Learn about systems and processes used in Maintenance and Engineering and how these functions support the maintenance program for the Alaska fleet.
Work with Manager of Material Planning to determine stocking levels for expendable, repairable and rotable parts based on analysis of average monthly usage, historical demand and future requirements.
Work with Manager of Repairs Control to review all unserviceable components and equipment to determine repair/overhaul disposition.
Initiates repair orders to outside vendor agencies and hold vendors accountable to Alaska processes.
Assists the repair controllers in managing material in support of Line Maintenance, Engineering projects or Heavy Maintenance visits.
Creates and designs new reports, dashboards, and measurements methods as needed.
Provides ad hoc analysis as required to support division.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, logistics and transportation, or a related field.
Excellent computer skills -- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred

SUMMARY: Ensure all maintenance actions including documentation are carried out in accordance with approved data in an airworthy manner. Additionally, responsible for preliminary, routine and in-process inspections on aircraft and/or components to determine serviceability and airworthiness.

Accomplish incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft/components in accordance with customer request cards or manufacturer's manuals.
Ensure documentation of maintenance performed is as required by FAR's, ATS ' Repair Station Manual and customer's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program ( CAMP ).
Accomplish final buy-back of maintenance performed.
Accomplish in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close, torque verifications, dimensional checks, rigs, etc.
As authorized by ATS and airlines, perform return-to-service and airworthiness releases on serviceable tags, aircraft logbooks, and FAA form 337.
Perform audit of ATS facilities for FAR and safety regulation compliance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant License Required
Three years heavy aircraft maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by Manager's discretion.

Maintains accurate records and completes Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Closing Month-end Report and Meter Calibration Report.
Notifies the Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required and ensures that accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery. In addition, ensures that proper procedure is followed during delivery.
Checks and fills the oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and belts on vehicles being fueled. Ensures that adequate supplies to perform checks are maintained at the fuel island. Communicates with the shop foreman regarding supplies and oil inventory dispensed into equipment.
Twice a week, checks tires for damage and proper air pressure. Tire damage must be reported to the shop immediately.
Inspects all vehicles during fueling or on a regularly scheduled basis for physical damage. Any damage will be reported immediately to the Manager or designee.
Maintains the required inventory in the spill barrel and notifies the Manager any time supplies are used or replaced.
In the event of a fuel spill, takes all necessary steps to contain the spill. The Manager or designee must be notified immediately.
Maintains adequate inventories and supplies to make minor repairs and facilitate the washing of vehicles.
Cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles as required to maintain cleanliness of the fleet.
Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds to include yard cleanliness, grass and weeds or any other yard projects that are assigned as necessary.
Performs any other management requests or directives as requested.

GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for supporting all Quality production processes including pre- and post- production related standard operating procedures. The Quality Control Technician motivates, supports, coaches, and supports the efforts of the Production Team toward achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals & objectives. This position is responsible for ensuring all Safety policy and procedures are consistently being followed, all products pass Quality Control testing, and Lean Tools and Concepts are continuously deployed and sustained within their areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Verification of product quality and adherence to engineering specifications / work instructions
* Collect and report all Quality metrics Using Microsoft forms
* Communicate all defects found during the QC inspection process to operations team members
* Layered auditing sign off on critical to quality projects
* Appropriate use of QC stamps and quality approval
* Participate in weekly Quality Team meetings
* Root cause investigation
* Incoming product inspection
* End of Line product inspection
* Assist operations in team training
* Sustain 5S+Safety standards, and consistently eliminate waste within department
* Continually work at maintaining and improving a positive work culture.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* High School Diploma
* Previous Quality experience preferred.
