They will receive materials in production workplace and verify components with the use of visual aids, Finished Part Documents and Placemats. The Kit Production Worker will watch for quality defects and report promptly any materials thought to be defective to management. The Kit Production Worker will attend informational, training, safety, and compliance meetings as scheduled. * Follow written instructions on work order, finished part document, visual aids and placemats for various products. * Safe use and daily inspection of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks (hand and electric) * Inspect raw material needed for producing product, set-up production line, and produce sample for quality inspection. * Upon inspection approval, produce product, label, pack, and load grouped orders onto pallets. * Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. * Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. * Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. * Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision. * Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, perform all required safety checks and communicate need for repair * Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads. * Perform other duties as required. * Attend monthly departmental and production meetings. Forge Operator - $31.68/hour after shift premiums and overtime 3 days on, 3 days off - 7pm - 7am Weekly pay Qualifications * Mechanical Knowledge and Inclination * Troubleshooting Experience * Torching/Welding Skills Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Work involves routine tasks requiring the safe operation of forge equipment, forge checks at routine intervals, and routine quality checks to ensure finished products meet customer specifications. * Performs forge start-up and shutdown procedures, which includes knowing the functions of lights and switches on forge control panel and platforms. * Resets forge electrical, oil system and unscrambler breakers * Starts up all conveyors using proper start-up procedures. * Replaces and aligns slings on the unscrambler. * Performs basic troubleshooting on finger and arm, stock gauge, kicker pin and springs, worn tooling, transfer lift, and bar conveyor unscrambler. * Performs conversions, including all forge tooling, all pinch rolls and bar conveyors, and forge timing and die alignment. * Changes, resets and aligns rounder dies. * Checks and sets forge stop positioning. * Performs process monitoring, measurement, and required adjustment to ensure production of quality products. * Accurately completes daily control sheet, forge sheet, and safety inspections. * Performs other duties, as assigned by the Plant Superintendent. Role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. Troubleshoot and perform minor repair on blow-mold and support equipment. Immediately escalates all bottle abnormalities, defects and quality issues when found. Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed. Pick up dropped bottles, place into bins and if needed into grinder. Ensure correct labeling, bottle description and packaging of product in accordance with specific customer requirements. Move finished goods to designated area. Prepare & document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other. Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs. Receives instructions on specific job task by Lead Operator or Supervisor. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.
