Job Category Retail Position Summary The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 year degree or non-traditional education through training program completion, certification, or other exhibiting the growth mindset that is needed in this candidate. Previous consumer retail sales experience. Previous automotive experience a plus. Previous management/supervisory experience a plus. Responsibilities In general, you will be responsible for utilizing your vehicle maintenance expertise to perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned and by following dealer and factory standards. The Automotive will work on average 40+ hours a week. Technicians should have strong knowledge and experience with all types of automobile repairs and will be responsible for the following duties: Performing work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing appropriate repairs Keeping your shop area neat and clean, and being able to account for tools at all times Ensuring that customer vehicles are kept clean Road-testing vehicles to identify issues and ensure the quality of repair Documenting work performed on repair order Qualifications Valid driver's license and good driving record Clean cut, professional, and takes great pride in work Must have own tools Ability to work 40+ hours per week, If you are a hard worker and would like to take on the challenge of working in a high-volume shop, we invite you to apply for the position today and join our team!
