Valid Driver's License
Minimum 3 years of auto repair experience, holding 3 ASE (ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certificates within first year)
Knowledgeable in the following areas covered by the ASE certification programs, including but not limited to, Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance, Light Vehicle/Diesel
Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise levels
Must have a complete set of tools required for auto repair and maintenance
Basic computer skills including typing, data entry
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Job Overview:
The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand & Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities:
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. All service technicians will assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
* Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
* Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems. Including "hands-on" work to assure equipment operates to customer's requirement with limited guidance from the Master Technician.

Requirements:
* 2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
* Must possess a valid driver&aposs license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
* Every service technician is required to be on-call, but you will not be on-call for the first 90 days to get used to the schedule. This is shared with every service tech, and it requires being available 24/7 for the 1-week duration where you will go to customer sites. On-call weeks can be as often as every 4 weeks or greater than 4 weeks, but that will be determined by the hiring manager.
* This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.

Schedule:
This is a Relief (per diem) role.
There is no set schedule; hours cannot be guaranteed.
These programs operate on a 24 hour/day, 7 days a week basis. Various shifts will be available. Willingness to have availability on weekends/holidays may be required.

Programs are located in Portland and South Portland, ME.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.
Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft office preferred.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills required.
Flexible schedule is required.
Ability to work in a team environment required.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
Must pass CNA registry check
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds.
Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work. Being over the age of 21 and a good driving record is required.

POSITION SUMMARY
Service Technicians are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards while performing skilled work for a variety of operational duties relative to the assigned area of responsibility. This includes manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities. Handles customer requests and represents the Company in the community.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiates gas service, performs leak investigations and makes repairs
Locates gas lines
Reads gas meters
Conducts load surveys
Completes work order system documentation
Serves as First Responder in emergency situations
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Proficient using personal computers and software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Possess a valid state driver's license and present and maintain a good driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Gain and apply knowledge of industry and company safety standards and regulations
Demonstrate an aptitude for basic mechanical tasks and capable of using proper tools for any given job including: installing and reading pressure gauges, voltage meters, pipe locators, repair service lines, bar test and classifying underground leaks; monitoring and adjusting gas system pressure
Respond to customers with courtesy and knowledge, in person and by telephone, applying good judgment and customer service skills
Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Manage multiple tasks, projects or activities through completion
