Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience with automation, controls, or instrumentation including but not limited to Rod Pump Controllers, and Variable Speed Drive with Rod Pump Applications.
* Must have an in-depth working knowledge of rod lift systems well pumping application.
* Must have a working knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, AC motor theory, and application.
* Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Word processing software; Spreadsheet software, and Internet software.

* Be trained in operating more than one type of equipment or combinations of equipment / processes (level is determined by competency development program)
* Ability to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations - locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care
* Assist with safety efforts such as pumping unit lock out tag out, DOT-FMCSA laws, and pumping unit rigging
* Assist with equipment efforts such as bucket truck aerial lift, crane rig up, crane load chart site setup, and truck driving
* Assist with product efforts such as multi-jack bolt tensioner, beam pumping unit assembly, long stroke unit assembly, beam pumping unit inspection, linear pumping unit inspection, unit alignment, pumping unit brake system, pumping unit stroke change, structural bearing replacement, well pump re-space, and wireline removal and installation

**Job Summary:**
Provide maintenance support to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain all instrumentation associated with the boiler, turbine, generator, and all auxiliary equipment for the plant. May perform Master I &C Technician duties during absence of a Master I&C technician.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
+ Knowledgeable of environmental rules and regulations, and effectively apply them to all work situations.
+ Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain protective relays, computers, metering, monitoring, and control systems on boilers, turbines, generators, and plant auxiliary equipment. In shop location includes performing benchwork and component troubleshooting.
+ Reads, and interprets electric generating plants P&ID's and CWD's to locate, identify, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems, interlocks, etc.
+ Uses test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools (i.e., drills, screwdrivers) as necessary to troubleshoot and maintain devices and systems for the power plant.
+ Works with apprentice I/C technicians and skill enhancement employees to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
+ Completes all written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
+ Continually updates knowledge of plant systems and instrumentation.
+ Makes decisions about how best to repair equipment and what resources (tools, time equipment) will be needed.
+ Employee must arrange own transportation to work location and may be reassigned to another location at the Company's discretion.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Associates Degree or equivalent education in instrumentation, pneumatics, engineering, or a related technical discipline. OR

Our Team Our Instrumentation shop maintains over around 50,000 controllers, solenoids, switches, transmitters, valves and wireless devices in our refinery in Corpus Christi. What You Will Do
Daily troubleshooting & repair of instrumentation in live process units.
Instrument turnaround maintenance activities (ID potential scope items, enter T/A work orders, lead work crews for scope as assigned, and perform instrument scope work)
Work a 4/10 day-shift schedule (M-Th) and participate in an afterhours/on-call rotation
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Work experience in the Instrumentation craft in any industry OR a graduate of an Instrumentation Degree Program
Possess a valid US Driver's License
What Will Put You Ahead
3 years' experience in the Instrumentation trade
Mechanical experience in an industrial environment

The Chlorination Technician is responsible for maintaining water quality by performing proper flushing and sample testing of water facilities. Operates and maintains chlorination equipment. Adheres to governmental regulations pertaining to the operation of water and wastewater systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Handles hazardous chemicals, such as 150 lb. cylinders of liquid chlorine gas and sulfur dioxide.
* Operates, maintains, and transports chlorination equipment.
* Flushes blow-offs and dead-end mains to maintain water quality and takes water quality samples and records chlorination data.
* Works with various departments needing specialized disinfection assistance.
* Prepares and maintains daily and weekly reports.
* Applies principles, practices, and specifications of chlorination, water chemistry and water sampling procedures.
* Interprets construction plans, as-built drawings and block maps.
* Follows governmental regulations pertaining to the operation of water and wastewater systems.
* Promotes and practices a safe working environment for internal and external customers.
* Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve skill levels.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Two years' experience constructing or maintaining water or wastewater systems or facilities.
* Pass a physical examination for Chemical Hazardous Material Responses and Respiratory Protection.
* Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class "D" Water Operator License within six months.
* TCEQ Class "D" Water Operator License within 6 months and Class "C" Water Distribution or Groundwater Operator License within 24 months of hire.
* Work Zone Traffic Control, Competent Person Excavation Safety, and Confined Space Certifications or obtain within 12 months.
* Hazardous Waste Operators and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training within 12 months.
* Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
* Ability to report to work on time, maintain a good attendance record, and work all designated work schedules.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
* Valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.
