The Site Construction Quality Specialist ensures the documentation of quality assurance and quality control for project installations at a designated active construction site. This is accomplished through communication with Construction Managers, ongoing evaluation of material submittals, monitoring of construction activities, assessment of inspection reports, site inspections, review of construction schedules, and examination of customer specifications. This position is required to interpret policies as needed, maintain official document files, and manage company equipment and property. This role can be performed at our main offices in Pineville, LA or remotely. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Reviews customer specifications to confirm compliance with quality standards. * Assigned to a specific project site to oversee quality-related activities. * Provides quality oversight on assigned construction project(s). Ensures Construction Managers implement Beta's Quality Assurance Program, supports them in resolving quality issues, and performs inspections to verify compliance. * Plans and evaluates all quality submittals related to materials, observations, and test reports for Beta, customer, and subcontractor scopes of work. * Audits third-party suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality plans and procedures are being followed. * Reviews and approves third-party quality certifications for personnel performing work on the project site, as required. * Assists in reviewing plans for constructability concerns, validating drawing notes, confirming material specifications, and verifying material quantities. * Assists in construction oversight for a specific project. Reviews Beta and subcontractor schedules to ensure quality submittals and inspections are appropriately planned. * Supports Project Managers or Construction Managers in resolving site-specific construction issues. * Assists Project Managers and Construction Managers in final inspections and development of subcontractor punch lists. Supports project close-out, final work items, and demobilization. * Performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Construction Quality or Director. Job Description We are looking for a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer with 3-7 years of experience to support the quality assurance of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the full equipment lifecycle-from procurement and factory testing to site delivery and installation. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, supply chain, and construction teams to review vendor test procedures, participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and provide field support during installation and commissioning for key components such as batteries, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and auxiliary systems. This role focuses on preventing quality issues at the source - ensuring suppliers maintain robust manufacturing and test processes - and tracking non-conformances through resolution prior to shipment. Key Responsibilities Utilize the Supplier's Quality Management Plan to drive Supplier's Selection, Evaluation and Qualification utilizing a culture of continuous improvement (Plan, Do, Check, Act) Responsible to map and document Supplier's Quality processes in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements (Process Approach). Update the documentation required for Supplier's Audit process: Audit plan, Schedule, Checklists and Report templates. Maintain the supplier's quality database (Documents Control) Supplier qualification, non-conformance management, supplier surveillance and quality initiatives supporting RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of field events Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), FAT procedures, and quality control documentation packages Conduct supplier assessments and audits to verify compliance with company standards and industry standards Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at OEM and ensure test results and documentation meet approved criteria Identify, log, and track non-conformances (NCRs); drive timely root cause analysis and corrective actions with vendors. Take ownership of tracking NCR's and CAR's specific to that project. Facilitate root cause analysis teams.
