Provides peer support to youth ages infant to 18 years old who may be struggling with mental health/behavioral issues at home, school, or in the community. This position facilitates contact with providers, assists with case management, care coordination, 1:1 peer counseling, and addresses issues that may be barriers to accessing treatment and/ or support in the community. Meet regularly with clients, by providing coaching and mentoring, and model healthy and empowered behavior Conduct outreach, education, and community engagement activities Communicate with the treatment team about barriers and strengths Acts as a positive role model for individuals being served in exploring their own path to wellness Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of youth and their families Provide case management and care coordination Document services using electronic health records in a timely and accurate manner HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT: 1 year of related experience working with youth Lived experience that enhances relatability to clients being served HS diploma or equivalent Peer Support Specialist certification is required upon start, and certification as a traditional health care worker through the Oregon Health Authority Fluency in English, both spoken and written Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites Demonstrates resilience, awareness, and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflicts, and obstacles/barriers. About the Position The Camper Support Specialist works with campers, their caregivers, and camp staff to create a meaningful camp experience. They will coordinate camper care plans as needed with caregivers and/or the camp leadership team. This position will act as a resource to staff, providing coaching and direct support to staff while problem solving complex behavioral needs. The Camper Support Specialist works amongst all the age groups offered at camp and responds to in-the-moment behavioral needs of campers. Compensation for this position is $21.80 - $22.55 per hour, with the starting rate dependent on previous employment at GSWW camps. Camp Season 2026 will run from June 8th through August 27th, with start and end dates determined by position. For the 2026 season, this position will be located at Camp River Ranch (Carnation, WA). Day Camp will run Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M with staff hours starting as early as 7:00 A.M. and ending no later than 6:00 P.M. Staff will be scheduled for a 40 hour work week and receive breaks throughout the day. Staff will have the opportunity to ride camp buses to and from camp and support the check-in and check-out processes at bus stops. Camp River Ranch serves campers ages 5 to 17 and offers a variety of programming including swimming, boating, target sports, climbing wall, and classic camp activities. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate with caregivers and camp staff to plan individual care plans for campers with additional social-emotional, behavioral, or physical needs Provide support to counselors that includes coaching and problem-solving, acting as on-call camper support, and serving as additional coverage for units needing assistance Maintain as needed communication with caregivers on camper progress, escalating to leadership team when appropriate Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and support provided through the CampMinder system Implement occasional trainings for staff that include tools and techniques for working with campers Support and participate in the implementation of all camp activities such as camp games, campfires, etc. Carry out established duties for general camp operations including check-in and check-out, bus supervision, camp cleaning, season opening and closing tasks, and completion of necessary paperwork. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial) You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided. Qualifications Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be comfortable with daily local travel Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
