Waters plants and flowers as required. Performs landscape operations such as planting and maintaining landscape materials, planted beds, trim trees and shrubs, fertilize plant materials and grass.
Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
Additional Duties:
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
High school diploma or G.E.D. and six (6) months experience in the use, operation and care of grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform physically demanding job duties, occasionally under adverse weather conditions.
Ability to read and write.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

1.0 Provides maintenance and repair of the assigned public facilities. (95%)
1.1 Performs sidewalk, gutter and driveway repair; removes broken or cracked sections, sets form, pours and finishes concrete.
1.2 Maintains trees and removes brush to ensure streets and sidewalks are clear for public use.
1.3 Performs asphalt repair; potholes and sections of blacktop are extracted and repaired.
1.4 Maintains City property and Right of Ways; lawn and pesticide maintenance, removal of trash and other debris/litter.
1.5 Responds timely to requests and work orders.
2.0 Additional Duties and Responsibilities (5%)
2.1 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the core values of the City, and consistent with City and Department policies.

3.0 Emergency Management Role
3.1 Participates as a member of the City staff as required to take action in the event of an emergency.
3.2 Acts in the assigned role to support the City in disaster preparation and/or disaster recovery efforts as described in the City of Casselberry Emergency Management Plan, supervisor or designee. As a member of the Public Works Department may be responsible for the coordination of the maintenance and/or clearing of roadways, the operability of City's fleet and prevention or drainage of local or area-wide flooding. In addition, as a member of the Public Works Department may be responsible for the maintaining and/or rapidly restoring the operability of the City's water and sewer systems.
