Position Summary Provides leadership, supervision and direction to nuclear maintenance personnel performing periodic or corrective station maintenance. To ensure the plant is maintained safely during all modes of operation such that the expectations of regulators, management and customers are met. Build, train, and maintain a team of nuclear maintenance professionals able to meet these demands within guidelines and regulations that apply to the maintenance of a nuclear generation facility. Job Responsibilities
Provides supervision and direction to personnel performing I&C and Electrical maintenance and repairs to station equipment.
Provides guidance to the process of building a work schedule as it relates to their assigned systems and available resources (during Inage and Outage periods).
Provides assistance to the planning process when work tasks are identified for their assigned team.
Works with various other associated departments to make task completion and schedule success a reality.
Assigns work to qualified nuclear maintenance personnel in accordance with applicable training directives and guidelines
Monitors and assesses work progression as necessary to assure good work quality and personnel safety are maintained.
Works with Technical Support and Engineering staff to solve various problems that are beyond the scope of the maintenance team.
Reviews all work for compliance with station directives and guidelines to ensure QA, Post Maintenance Testing, Mod and procedural requirements have been met prior to returning equipment to service.
Conducts weekly tam meetings to discuss current safety topics and work/team-related items of importance.
Provides feedback to OPS, Work Control and Maintenance Coordinators to keep them informed on work progression and completion times.
Maintains accurate payroll accounts to include compliance with NSD 200 Work Hour Extension.
Maintains a safe, productive and motivated well-trained maintenance staff through performance management and employee development and training.
Establishes and communicates performance standards for assigned maintenance team.
Conducts annual APA interviews to include periodic feedback sessions to communicate employee progress.
Counsels' employees on substandard performance including implementing and conducting performance improvement plans when necessary.
Provides opportunities for on-the-job training when work schedule permits.
Evaluates team needs and recommends formal training in areas where a deficiency exists.
Keeps management informed on manpower needs and excesses.
Observes formal training to assess the quality of trainer/trainee participation and provides written feedback.

Job Summary:
A maintenance mechanic is responsible for the entire operating facility, repairs, and preventative maintenance, as well as special projects. In addition, the maintenance mechanic is responsible for maintaining all heavy equipment in the facility including balers, sort line, loaders, and forklifts. This will include regularly scheduled PM as well as minor repairs on all facility equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Learns Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for the machinery- use this every time you work on or in or around that machinery;
Performs regular inspections of all equipment at a facility, including building, sort line, baler and rolling stock. Daily review of the Daily Equipment Inspection Form;
Performs basic preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and trouble shoot potential problems. Ability to make repairs;
Performs some MIG welding and fabrication;
Participates in plant morning meetings and brings problems, issues, and observations up with the plant manager and/or maintenance manager;
Ensures the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while conducting work functions;
Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted;
Efficiently manages time and completion of all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority;
Ability to obtain quotes and place orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same;
Ensures operators complete pre-run inspections, PM, and services and review them, store files in designated folder on-site and document on internal system;
Reports any existing damage and immediate repairs to the Maintenance Manager;
Ability to use, maintain, and handle all repair and testing tools and equipment;
Responsible for prevented maintenance on all vehicles, equipment, & machinery;
Ability to show up on time with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools including radio;
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Mechanical Systems (gears, pulleys, chains, belts, shafts, industrial gear boxes, water pumps, air compressors, HVAC experience;
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Electrical Systems (AC circuits-motors and drives, DC circuits-motors and drives, 480 Volts 3 phase, transformers, control power, relays);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Works well as a team member & is not afraid to ask for help or questions;

Ability to MIG weld and do light / medium fabrication;
