Job Summary: Maintenance Technicians will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain valves, well heads, gas lines, and well extensions in the landfill field. The Maintenance Technician position requires a strong work ethic and resilience to perform in demanding field conditions, including exposure to odors, extreme temperatures, and rugged terrain in and around the landfill. Responsibilities involve working on uneven or sloped surfaces, performing trench work, and extending wells. This is a physically intensive and often dirty job, and candidates must be comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments. All duties performed must follow safety guidelines and have a safety-first mindset. Flexibility is essential, as this role, in addition to the standard shift, will be on-call and may require responding to unexpected issues, and handling emergency situations critical to field operations. You must live within 45 minutes of assigned site/area to be considered for this position.

Position Information
We are seeking a Maintenance Worker III, under general supervision, to maintain buildings and equipment for assigned department.
Responsibilities:
Performs maintenance and repair for facilities (building, electrical and/or HVAC) and equipment (including air compressors, vacuum pump, heating and cooling systems, greenhouse controls panels, lights, vent-a-hoods, growth chambers, and cold room); assists in preparing floors and occasionally replaces broken or missing tile
Maintains and repairs mechanical systems such as, but not limited to, lighting, heating, air conditioning systems, electrical work, and general plumbing
Monitors heating and cooling systems for proper function and correct temperature
Installs new electrical and plumbing lines for new equipment
Maintains facilities, perform demolition and construction tasks and performs minor repairs and maintenance on facility equipment. Inspects buildings for proper working order
Performs skilled trade work including, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, cementing and electrical work. Performs welding in heating, cutting and brazing of ferrous non-ferrous metals with acetylene electrical equipment
Performs some field operations such as weeding, irrigating, harvesting and providing general field plot maintenance support as needed
Operates machinery such as drill press, sharpeners, table saws, chain saws, lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, and other miscellaneous equipment
Repairs sidewalks, sewer lines, building slabs, streets, and related installations
Assists in planning and/or supervision of major repair projects; maintains inventory and maintenance records
Prepares cost estimates for repairs and materials for projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of experience in building, machinery, and/or equipment operations and maintenance; installation and repair work; materials handling, and warehouse operation

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WATER MAINTENANCE TEHNICIAN
As a Water Maintenance Technician, you spend your day involves maintaining grounds and landscaping, responding to customer complaints, transporting sludge, assisting other crews, performing equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair. Responsibilities

Performs technical work in preventive maintenance and/or repair of assigned county wide HVAC systems. Duties include preventive maintenance, repairing and installing computerize, electrical, mechanical components on HVAC systems. Positions in this class perform routine preventive maintenance, identify needed corrective actions to resolve discrepancies; and maintain preventive and repair document logs and records.
Essential Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance for all county-wide HVAC equipment; maintenance preventive and repair logs for each HVAC unit.
Maintains and installs mechanical, electrical and computerized hardware components for existing HVAC systems.
Repairs mechanical, electrical and computerize malfunctions and installs new equipment.
Tests HVAC systems for continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, identify pressures of refrigerant and refrigerant or oil leaks using testing devices, such as refrigeration gauges, psychrometer, HVAC thermometers, ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Inspects HVAC systems equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed; may be expected to operate heavy equipment on occasion.
Maintains assigned inventory; requests quotes for needed materials, equipment, and supplies.
Provides assistance and information to employees, foreman, managers, vendors, local businesses, and/or other interested parties regarding assigned HVAC functions.
Assists maintenance personnel with problems and ensures timely completion of work; works with power tools in a safe manner, helps with work orders requested, keeps work areas clean.
Responsible for assigned week of emergency after hour calls and stand-by duties.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, with three (3) years of experience performing technical and/or repair work with HVAC mechanical, electrical and computerize systems; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License, EPA Certification and State HVAC Certified Technician License.

Position Information
We are seeking a Maintenance Worker III, under general supervision, to maintain buildings and equipment for assigned department.
Responsibilities:
* Performs maintenance and repair for facilities (building, electrical and/or HVAC) and equipment (including air compressors, vacuum pump, heating and cooling systems, greenhouse controls panels, lights, vent-a-hoods, growth chambers, and cold room); assists in preparing floors and occasionally replaces broken or missing tile
* Maintains and repairs mechanical systems such as, but not limited to, lighting, heating, air conditioning systems, electrical work, and general plumbing
* Monitors heating and cooling systems for proper function and correct temperature
* Installs new electrical and plumbing lines for new equipment
* Maintains facilities, perform demolition and construction tasks and performs minor repairs and maintenance on facility equipment. Inspects buildings for proper working order
* Performs skilled trade work including, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, cementing and electrical work. Performs welding in heating, cutting and brazing of ferrous non-ferrous metals with acetylene electrical equipment
* Performs some field operations such as weeding, irrigating, harvesting and providing general field plot maintenance support as needed
* Operates machinery such as drill press, sharpeners, table saws, chain saws, lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, and other miscellaneous equipment
