Performs routine scheduled maintenance and repairs of broken and malfunctioning machines/equipment. Performs installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers (e.g., plumbers, carpenters, welders, and pipefitters). Installs, maintains, upgrades, and fabricates machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. These tasks are necessary to ensure smooth company operations and to ensure high-quality products and services for EnergySolutions customers. Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors, and tram rails using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
