Position Summary This Trades Maintenance Worker 2 position provides support for all areas of campus covered by the University of Oregon Facilities Services. The position is responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair activities in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems as well as general support for Facilities Structures and Support, Electrical Shop, HVAC and Plumbing Shop. This is the second level of a two-level series. It is distinguished from the lower level by responsibility for performing tasks independently without guidance of a skilled tradesperson. The HVAC Building Maintenance Worker III performs skilled work on HVAC systems, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. This position operates with more independence and technical responsibility than Level II, and includes responsibilities in boiler maintenance and hydronic system treatment.
