This position will perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Production equipment. Responsibilities Obey safety rules and promote safe ways of working, including the use of personal protective equipment, machine guarding, proper lifting techniques / weight limits, and powering down equipment to prevent injuries. Inspect and repair machinery as needed to support the production schedule and to minimize downtime. This includes packaging lines, tablet presses, mills, pumps, blenders, mixers, and more. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery on schedule and according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure that maintenance work is properly documented. Observe operation of production machines to identify machine malfunctions. Understand and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations. Report usage of spare parts and supplies so that they can be reordered before they are fully used up. Communicate and coordinate with the other departments as needed, including Production, Quality and Facilities departments, to complete production on schedule, to solve problems and to improve performance.
