We are seeking a high caliber Process Engineer. In this role, you will prepare estimates and quote new jobs for RFQs and develop work order material and new manufacturing processes for new product launches, based on customer requirements.
Duties:
* Complete estimates using VISUAL Manufacturing. Obtain material, subcontract and sublet quotations from materials department as necessary.
* Conduct contract review of technical requirements versus quotation and coordinate order acknowledgment with CFT Leader.
* Complete quality planning for projects.
* Maintain part hierarchy and drawing/revision number documentation.
* Provide technical support for manufacturing, material and subcontract/sublet contracting.
* Complete disposition, root cause analysis and corrective actions as necessary for non-conformances.
* Create fixture and process drawings as necessary
* Review and disposition Engineering Change Requests
* Conduct job release and post job review meetings.
* Participate in performance improvement activities with manufacturing personnel.
* Review Customer Change Requests, evaluate cost and delivery impact. Notify Sales and incorporate as necessary.
* Maintain electronic job folder.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
* Prior Engineering experience developing new manufacturing processes for new product launches.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
* 3D modeling experience preferred.
* Strong computer literacy, written and verbal communication, and project management skills are required.
Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
* stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor,
* exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
* exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Certification Required - None
Visual Acuity - Near acuity and accommodation as required for reading.

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer III with strong manufacturing experience to support machining operations in the medical device industry. Key Responsibilities
Develop machining processes and operation sheets from engineering data for complex medical devices.
Implement new or improved manufacturing methods, tools, and equipment designs to optimize performance.
Lead cost reduction initiatives and evaluate outside processes for quality and efficiency.
Design and implement assembly tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Manage multiple projects, track progress, and report regularly to management.
Partner with Quality to analyze data and drive corrective actions.
Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation to support production, compliance, and knowledge transfer.
Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and GMP standards.
Train personnel and provide daily communication across departments to resolve production issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
5+ years of experience in machining, CNC equipment, and medical device assembly.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, metrology tools (CMM, profilometer, vision systems), and process monitoring.
Familiarity with GMP, ISO, Lean manufacturing; Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven ability to generate thorough documentation for processes, tooling, and testing.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support for established manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting, data analysis, and continuous improvement. Support minor process modifications and scale-ups while ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and production efficiency.
Apply core engineering principles-mixing, heat and mass transfer, drying, filtration, and material science-to optimize operations, eliminate bottlenecks, and identify opportunities for capital investment and productivity improvement.
Lead or support process improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and risk assessments. Serve as the process engineering lead on cross-functional teams, contributing to project execution and resolution of equipment-related quality events.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, health, and quality standards. This includes proper PPE usage, documentation practices, deviation reporting, housekeeping, and timely training to protect both personnel and product integrity.

Essential Functions: The Project Engineer oversees mid- to large-scale complex machining/fab/assembly projects, guides a project team through the entire project cycle -from estimating the project with the customer design for fabrication, shop floor execution, and final delivery. This role involves leading and coordinating the team to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Duties:
Collaborate with Sales and lead the estimate building process for customer projects using Petersen's ERP software
Plan and build-out projects from start to finish that will be manufactured in our Ogden facility
Manage all phases of multiple mid-sized to large projects at any given time, with technical assistance from the shop-floor and design engineering, including pre-ordering sales support (budget/quotation phase) and contract review of orders. Lead projects independently with minimal guidance.
Understanding the requirements of customized customer specifications and apply visual Project Management and daily management. Evaluate planning and technical risk, make decisions and ensure countermeasures are in place to enable the execution of the project milestones on time.
Coordinate with team members in their area of expertise (mechanical, chemical, electrical, automation, etc.) to ensure delivery of the project, on time, on budget and to the quality standards expected by our customers. Plan and manage projects' communications and reporting with the customers, project team, management and all involved stakeholders
Follow-up, check, challenge, and support project suppliers' progress.
Be the point of contact for customers - ensure on-time delivery at committed quality
Support negotiations with customers regarding the contracted work with Petersen
Safety - Commitment to safety while on shop floor and throughout entirety of all projects managed
Lean - Engage in and lead continuous improvement exercises for the engineering team to ensure we are getting work to the shop floor in the right amount of time
Quality - Facilitate a cross-functional team to investigate, root cause, and implement corrective actions for any non-conformances
Delivery - Releasing work to the shop floor in a timely manner
Team - Collaborate with the shop floor (welders/assemblers/machinists) to ensure the following:
Estimate is correct
Plan is within budget, timeframe, and to the customer specification/quality requirements
Project is executed at the committed timeline to the customer
Availability: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

QUALITY ENGINEER Position is responsible for coaching and supporting the CFT's. In addition, the Quality Engineer provides support to our manufacturing and quality teams. Responsible for helping to create a quality plan and ensure we meet customer quality requirements. The objective is to improve quality, delivery and safety.
Reports to: Director of Customer Focused Teams

Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting 6S and continual improvement concepts. Provide support to the manufacturing shop personnel and CFT for quality assurance and inspection needs. Accountable for understanding quality operations and functions.
Authorities: As designated or delegated by the Director of Customer Focused Teams
Duties:
* Define and react to problems concerning quality, delivery and safety,
* Review customer requirements with CFT prior to release to shop,
* Develop and initiate quality plan for inspection, testing and evaluation as defined by customer requirements,
* Participate in continuous improvement activities,
* Identify gaging needs to meet customer requirements,
* Interface with customers per CFT request,
* Interface with suppliers per CFT/Purchasing request,
* Supports CFT with quoting activities per request,
* Provide technical expertise, floor support, trouble shooting and support risk mitigation efforts,
* Actively participates in New Order Process.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Educational Experience - High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
Experience - Excellent GD&T skills with good understanding of quality inspection processes and techniques. Capable of monitoring and controlling process using SPC methods. Minimum of ten years related work experience.
Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
