Tasks PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and activities of industrial organization.
Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning production priorities, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
Set and monitor product standards, examine samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Initiate and coordinate scrap initiatives and other cost control programs.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, The ProductionSupervisor is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day planning and operation of the main production and fabrication operations. In this role you will manage the completion of customer orders from both production and inventory. What does a ProductionSupervisor do?
* Actively manage the operations of the Fabrication and Salvage areas and lead both teams to successful execution of the goals.
* Responsible for utilizing the finished and semi-finished materials inventory for the economical completion of orders.
* Manage salvage materials on a daily basis so they are remade to hi volume saleable items, baseboard for CNC process, scrapped, or made into dunnage material.
* Work with the production planner to ensure orders are completed on time and that any new or rush orders are accommodated.
* Quickly adapt and direct team to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
* Responsible for recommending warehousing methods to enhance "recut-resize" and damage free storage for stock.
* Maintain the daily product report systems for cost control and inventory.
General Supervisor Responsibilities
* Drive workgroup to proactively achieve zero injuries / safety incidents.
* Resource shift in order to safely meet production goals.
* Maximize quality and quantity of product delivered to warehouse to satisfy customer needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred. Specific experience in a meat processing facility or food manufacturing environment preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Some travel is required. This could be to other facilities or to corporate.
Preferred Skills, but NOT Required: Knowledge of food industry, processes and equipment and technologies. Understanding of financial indicators / analysis and experienced in budget development / management.

Description
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets, including scheduling, monitoring progress, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the manufacturing process
+ Monitor production schedules and workflows to meet or exceed production targets and deadlines
+ Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Provide training and develop opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
+ Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that products meet quality standards.
+ Maintain accurate production records and reports including inventory levels, production output, and equipment maintanance.
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance to optimize processes and resolve any production related challenges.
+ Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication among staff.
Position Requirements
**Qualifications:**
+ Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 6 years or more Manufacturing Supervisor experience, leadership and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
+ Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 2 years or more Manufacturing Supervisor experience, leadership and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
+ _Minimum education and years of experience requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered._

Production Manager Job Function Statement
Title: Production Manager
Reports To: MPC Director of Operations
The Production Manager is responsible for the overall quality and delivery of products and for all aspects of day-to-day production activities to meet customer requirements.
Managing Workflow
Plans and directs day-to-day production operations.
Serves as the go-to person for all events that impact production.
Troubleshoots problems and answers questions that interfere with productivity.
Supervises production personnel directly and through team leaders to meet or exceed objectives in safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, process improvement, and waste reduction.
Works with the General Manager to establish staffing levels for all production departments.
Prepares work schedules, assigns manpower, authorizes overtime, and controls costs to achieve goals.
Communicates clearly with all stakeholders regarding promised delivery times and any required adjustments.
Works with customer service and sales on expedite requests while accommodating customer needs whenever possible.
Ensures job time and material information is accurately reported in the ERP system.
Resolves issues preventing timely closing of production orders.
