Due to MSG's continued growth in our Civil/Municipal Division, a new opening is available for a ProjectEngineer in Columbus, OH!
Key Responsibilities
* Work in conjunction with licensed design professionals assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of public and private development projects, including commercial, industrial, residential, energy, water/waste water and community projects throughout the Midwest.
* Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of service sectors including: Surveying, Geotechnical, Environmental, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction, etc.
* Perform and check various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package.
* Preparing front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates and detailed design plans.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Practical experience in design and plan preparation of site development projects.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or related engineering field
* EI certification in the state of Ohio, with the ability to obtain PE or PLA certification within 6 to 12 months.
* Experience with researching and applying various agency design standards to civil engineeringprojects to successfully achieve approvals.
* Ability to apply guidelines and specifications. (i.e., City of Columbus and surrounding counties, ODOT, and etc.)
* Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading and pipe networks as well as plan set preparation required.
* Proficiency in independent preparation of Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports is preferred.
* Roadway design and survey experience are a plus.
* Utility design or utility field inspection experience a plus.
* The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process.

What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer at MSG, you'll be involved in all phases of bridge and highway structure design, including:
* Design and analysis of highway structures and bridges, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all standards.
* Field inspections of transportation structures and bridges to assess condition and provide technical recommendations.

Due to MSG's continued growth in our Civil/Municipal Division, a new opening is available for a Civil ProjectEngineer!
Key Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, energy, water/wastewater and community projects throughout the Midwest.
Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction, etc.
Perform and check various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package.
Preparing front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates and detailed design plans.
Perform QA/QC reviews.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Practical experience in design and plan preparation of site development projects.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience with industry design standards.
Understanding of guidelines and specifications.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading is preferred.
Proficiency in independent preparation of Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports is preferred.
The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and coordinating with review agencies.
Professional Engineer's license in the state of Ohio. Additional states will be considered as well.

What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer at MSG, you'll be involved in all phases of bridge and highway structure design, including:
* Design and analysis of highway structures and bridges, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all standards.
* Field inspections of transportation structures and bridges to assess condition and provide technical recommendations.
* Preparation of engineering deliverables, including reports, plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and calculations, while monitoring work for adherence to applicable codes.
* Lead projects or disciplines, acting as the projectengineer or lead for bridge projects, while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
* Collaborate across teams, partnering with survey, geotechnical, and transportation staff to deliver integrated solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
* 8+ years of experience with structural engineering, including bridge work
* PE required
* Experience with bridge design and analysis, ODOT experience a plus
* Experience working in STAAD-Pro, MDX, and Leap Bridge Designer, with Midas Civil experience a plus.
* Knowledge of Bridge and Culvert Manual, AASHTO, AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE 7 specifications

We are looking to add Civil Engineer to support our Agriculture/Civil Engineering team in North Canton, Ohio. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for a variety of design projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Create detailed engineering plans and technical drawings for agricultural and civil projects using AutoCAD, with a focus on site layout, grading, and drainage systems.
* Plan and model stormwater retention and detention systems to manage runoff and meet local environmental and engineering standards.
* Design grading plans that optimize land use while ensuring soil stability, proper drainage, and regulatory compliance.
* Compile engineering documentation for permitting processes, including stormwater management, soils geotechnical investigations, erosion control, and site development approvals.
* Ensure that all project designs and documentation meet local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
* Produce and manage design reports, budgets, calculations, and permitting correspondence to support project records and client needs.
* Client and regulatory agency correspondence.
* Assist in mentoring and developing junior staff
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural or Civil Engineering required (Agricultural preferred)
* Open to all levels of experience. At least 2 years of relevant experience required.
* Experience with AutoCAD

Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer at MSG, you'll be involved in all phases of bridge and highway structure design, including:
* Design and analysis of highway structures and bridges, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all standards.
* Field inspections of transportation structures and bridges to assess condition and provide technical recommendations.
* Preparation of engineering deliverables, including reports, plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and calculations, while monitoring work for adherence to applicable codes.
* Lead projects or disciplines, acting as the projectengineer or lead for bridge projects, while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
* Collaborate across teams, partnering with survey, geotechnical, and transportation staff to deliver integrated solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
* 8+ years of experience with structural engineering, including bridge work
* PE required
* Experience with bridge design and analysis, ODOT experience a plus
* Experience working in STAAD-Pro, MDX, and Leap Bridge Designer, with Midas Civil experience a plus.
* Knowledge of Bridge and Culvert Manual, AASHTO, AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE 7 specifications
